The most optimistic are even cautious about thinking the result would be a draw.

Marvin the Paranoid Android in HGTG who is perpetually pessimistic and gloomy is more happy than these Swansea fans... they would give Leeds fans a good run for their money in the doom and gloom stakes
But they have a good reason to be gloomy/miserable -

If we don't win today then I'm sure we wont see the top of the table again before the end of the season. The blunts are just good at winning games regardless of form, and they are on a roll now.

Much as I try to be optimistic, I've been following the fortunes of the club for far too long to ever be complacent. The fact is that since that last minute loss in the 1987 playoff final ( from a winning position ) we have only ever twice got it together at the business end of the season when it comes to getting promotion to the top tier. And often we have not turned up when it really matters - the 2006 ( was it ? ) playoff final, the 2019 collapse against Derby, last season's fall off in form and then not turning up in the playoff final etc.

Nope - born, bred and buttered in Leeds actually. I have followed this club since the height of the Revie era, and that includes the shock loss to Sunderland in the 1973 FA Cup and being robbed of the European Cup in Paris in 1975.....

And since the Revie era we have had the 1981 relegation, nearly being relegated the following season after winning the top tier title under Wilko, the club ending up in the third tier and going into administration just 6 years after having been in two European semis (including a Champion's League semi) and then getting relegated again just a couple of seasons after finishing 9th in our first season back in the top tier. Oh, and then 6 out of 6 failures in the playoffs is it ?

So that's why I refuse to ever get complacent - whenever things seem to be going really well things tend to happen to Leeds United....

Brilliant, losing him last season at this point cost us.

Charmed life starts and we have Amps back alongside Rothwell in the middle.

Gnonto on the bench, is that because we are bare bones or because he is playable??

Willie on the bench but sticking with Aaronson.

Hopefully not getting called up to the USMNT has allowed Brenden to fully recharge.

We'll see if he gets his normal 10 minutes

Wonder if Tanaka is "jet lagged" Firpo starts so difficult to see why that would be

Is Amps fully fit? If not, is a less-than-fully-fit Ampadu better than a fully fit Tanaka?
