Wish we'd signed at least one midfielder last season. But James was a necessary buy to fit Bielsa's formation. Costa and Poveda had both fallen out of favour. Dan James might have been a quality Bielsa signing had he not had to play more games at Number 9.

We have a Premier League quality pair of CB's on the roster right now. Unfortunately one of them playing Left Back....

That's because we didn't do enough in the summer window, far too many holes in our squad.

Just finished watching. Now depressed.
Easily the better team in thefirst half but Palace go and score with their one and only chance.
If Cooper had just played the ball down the line, Palace don't get the free kick.
Second half more even in terms of possession but we failed to create anything.
Its no good just just giving Joffy a few minutes at the end to try and get an equaliser, get him on earlier to try and get a winner.
Despite them having the better of the second half I couldn't see us losing. Eze had done f**k all prior to scoring.
Bamford worked hard but his touch was woeful. Still well short of match sharpness.

Weren’t we renowned for that under Marcelo? I mean supreme fitness & able to win games late on.

Piss poor I’m afraid and no where near good enough in the last 2 games. Sinisterra is the key, we have him in the team and we always have a chance. Rodrigo has had his purple patch this season needs to be benched for the foreseeable really can’t see what he brings to the team.

Disagree. Wasn't a fitness issue. Palace just showed better quality 2nd half. Fitness only in regards to Bamford coming back from injury. Other than that, it was a tactical and quality difference rather than fitness.

Yep they had more creativity. The ball in from Olise just needed a touch and it's in. We kept Zaha quiet, but then they have Eze and Olise. We only really have Sinisterra.

Struik is our best CD and should play there. Cooper is really poor. Not bying a left back is going to cost us.

Eze and Olise only wanted London, so we had no chance of either. The cream of the Championship was Watkins and Benrahma, both overpriced and not looked PL quality.
