8/10

Tries to allow the game to flow ( although helped by two teams determined to play football)

Got most things right. Perhaps should have not given us an advantage when we had a FC chance.
Handled the pressure well on the two VAR issues.

Difficult as I only had radio to go by but, got a clear advantage wrong first half which would have given us a FK on the edge, when I see the highlights I'm expecting Bamford's goal to have been fine as that's what Radio Leeds/Radio 5/Sky sports and Talk Sport all reckoned and the rescinding of the red was wrong if Gabriel did kick out which seems to have been the case

- not much point getting the easy stuff right if you make a balls up of the important stuff

Not hard to beat our recent spate of refs tbh

Assisted by VAR a couple of times, but in end got all major decisions right. There were a few lesser incidents I could gripe at but nobody is perfect. He allowed us the entertainment of a good game of football. He shouldn't have overturned the Gabriel red card as it was violent conduct regardless of the Bamford push. But that was late in the game and probably wouldn't have mattered.

Didn’t see or listen to the game so won’t give a rating. But just watched the brief highlights and, in my opinion, the red card should not have been rescinded. Irrespective of the Bamford push initially, which is why the penalty kick was overturned, the kicking out from Gabriel, even in retaliation, was a sending off offence in its own right. Whether this was too late in the match to be a game changer or not, is irrelevant. Had I been marking the referee no matter what score he was going to get he would have been marked down by at least 2 or 3 points for this incident alone.

In my opinion, it was deliberate, like an elbow to the face, straight red !

Absolutely deliberate.

Gabriel kicked out at Bamford intentionally, very obviously and in a petulant, nasty and dangerous way. Straight red no question!

I really do not know what these officials (referee and VAR) think about. Cancelling the penalty was correct but absolutely no need to rescind the red card.

Very weak referee today.

Allowed Arsenal players to crowd around him on all the major decisions and didn't shown one card. Twice had to be corrected by VAR for mistakes and failed to penalise the blatent pull on Bamford when clean through.

3/10

Surprised so many of you rated him higher.

Equally surprised you rated him so low. How many referees do you know who don't have players crowding round them questioning his decisions? He and VAR are to be commended for making the system actually function like it was designed to.

I thought the Ref was fine today. With the help of VAR he mostly got it right. He did miss a tug back on Bamford and couple others though.

Possibly it's sour grapes on my part Bob but if Leeds players surrounded the Ref like that we'd have seen the card out straight away. Plus we would have also been charged by the FA for failing to control our players. Also as soon as the penalty was awarded all the Arsenal players were stood on, or around the penalty spot causing a ruckus, apart from Ramsdale who was on the half way line taking a drink and presumably receiving instructiuons from the goalkeeping coach.

All gamesmanship of the highest order and as I said before the referee was weak and allowed it all to happen at a critical point in the match.

VAR was good, but on another day they may have decided that the clear and obvious error of the referee (the handball), which everyone in the stadium clearly saw in real time was not worthy of revisiting. As played continued Arsenal went down the other end and could have scored, who knows how VAR would have reacted had that have happened.

Finally I refer you to the Brentford match as evidence of relying upon VAR to correct refereeing decisons that have gone against us.
