To be fair I thought he had a overall good game, the second wasn't a penalty but it was a red, so he drops a point for that 7/10

Plus we would have also been charged by the FA for failing to control our players. Also as soon as the penalty was awarded all the Arsenal players were stood on, or around the penalty spot causing a ruckus, apart from Ramsdale who was on the half way line taking a drink and presumably receiving instructiuons from the goalkeeping coach.

All gamesmanship of the highest order and as I said before the referee was weak and allowed it all to happen at a critical point in the match.

VAR was good, but on another day they may have decided that the clear and obvious error of the referee (the handball), which everyone in the stadium clearly saw in real time was not worthy of revisiting. As played continued Arsenal went down the other end and could have scored, who knows how VAR would have reacted had that have happened.

Finally I refer you to the Brentford match as evidence of relying upon VAR to correct refereeing decisons that have gone against us.

EDIT Just seen the pull back on Bamford again and didn't realise that the Arsenal player was on a yellow, so even if advantage was played it's a mandatory yellow for a that offence which should have been issued at the next break in play.

Blew some really important calls.

Bamford's goal should have been allowed.

Played the advantage instead of awarding us a FK at the top of the box in the first half. Miserable decision.

Rescinded a red card that should never have been rescinded. Awful.

Apart from those he did a fine job, I thought, but those were some pretty important calls.

Got the easy stuff right but a bit indecisive with the main decisions.
Red card should have stood imo

Bottled & got a few decisions wrong. Kavanagh is a weak referee allows players to surround & bully him, showing them no yellow cards.

he allowed game to flow keeping his whistle in his hand and cards in the pocket which helped add to the entertainment. with help of VAR got most big decisions right though red card to gabriel should have stood so marked down to 7

It's 4 from me, Gabriel should have walked plus been given a yellow in the first half, it also seamed he gave them fk for the slightest touch, while letting The Gunners kick our guys to death
