Wonder if they may just give him the job?

3-0 vs Everton today

13th in the league
I think it will be similar to Lille. Everyone in the league already knows how he'll set up, so there will no element of surprise this time around. They don't have anyone with the quality of Raphinha either. Also unless he gets his own way, he's likely to walk.

If I was Bournemouth, I'd stick with O'Neil.

Not sure.

Bielsa in a relegation fight with a small mid season break.

A group of players to get to know etc.

Not sure myself.

Bielsa could come in and galvanise them or he could try going toe to toe and get picked off.

Possibly yeah.

With a transfer window and a full pre season.

Mid season though with no element of surprise, not sure.

Just don't think his style is a good fit for a relegation battle.

And O'Neil ppg is at almost 50 points.

And we saw last season he won't change, even if it's not working.

Exactly.

He hasn't changed in 30 years, he won't now.

They may get a bit of a bounce, 3,4 games but they will concede lots and being mid season you don't have the luxury of a 4,5,6game streak of no wins and we know MB has those in him even in the Championship.

If O,Neil had 1 point per game I'd get it but his points per game is comfortably mid table.

Why change?

I'll be in heaven and the players look ideal for him, he just needs to find a KP, the others will be just fine.

Unless Bert does well, be twice the threads

Personally though I can't see why you'd sack O'Neil for him (not a criticism of Bielsa).

But simply Gary O'Neil has managed 11 games
Won 3 lost 3 drawn 4 scored 16 conceded 16.

So a goal difference of 0 which is decent for Bournemouth.

And 13 points from 11 games.

Points per game of 1.18 which is over a season 44 points (ever so slightly better than Marsch actually).

Is Bielsa likely to better that?

Be very interesting to see how he does.

Keep them up and all eyes will be on next year and how he can rebuild his reputation here.

Take them down and his reputation in England will be in the gutter. Surprised he's willing to take this risk tbh! Bournemouth will be a tough job
