Some people see the picture but don't see the whole picture. Tyler Adams's stats against Bournemouth look great but miss out on the fact that a Bournemouth simply strolled through out midfield and scored with nobody bothering to mark him. It sometimes isn't about what a player does but what a player doesn't do. Sometimes when you see something you don't see something else because you weren't looking for that so you weren't aware it wasn't there.

Re: Tyler Adams
If Tyler has a good World Cup, and I mean Adams not Roberts, there will be all sorts sniffing round him.
I think he's an absolute natural as captain, same as King Billy Bremner was for us, and Jesse could strengthen his ties with us by making him captain.
It's also a good opportunity to send a message to Cooper, as in cya, and take the rest of your pals with you mate.

So you see what you don’t see because you didn’t know it was there so didn’t see it as you weren’t looking and therefore didn’t see it as it wasn’t there. Is that about right. I’m not sure I’m seeing it am Iweasel wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 8:00 pm Some people see the picture but don't see the whole picture. No you've got it ar$e backwards. How can you see what you don't see? You have to know what you are looking for to be able to see that it isn't there. Some people don't know what it is that they want to see so when they see something, that on the face of it makes sense, they think that it is that what they wanted to see.
You, my befuddled friend, are like a blind man, in a dark room, looking for a black cat that isn't there. Although what it is that you are stroking I don't think any of us want to know.

Once you see it you can't unsee it. I'm sure Kenny would concur.

The cat's not there, it never was, you're simply guilty of tripping up over your own sense of inadequacy as you try to fit into a society that you don't feel you belong in.
I'm sending you a virtual hug and would encourage everyone on here to do the same - if anyone lives near enough go and give him a big squeeze. For those who can't do so tonight they can probably find him, tomorrow, shoplifting in Aldi carrying a Waitrose bag.

Jesse was a Defensive Midfielder. A true hard man....
He actually started his playing career at DC United, which is the MLS club that I support. He played sparingly on what was the best team in MLS in those days. After two seasons with DC he moved to Chicago Fire which was Managed by former DC Assistant Coach Bob Bradley. It was in Chicago where Jesse really established himself playing alongside fellow USA International Chris Armas.

I must admit i didn't see it at first, but i didn't want to look at it and i'm thick so it was better to have it pointed out to me to save me going into epileptic shock, I can now, choose whether i want to see it or not if that helps.
A blind man couldn't see it though, i can't say i'd agree with that
Some will eventually open their eyes and see it was there all along, others ? Well, they'll never see that we've always had a shite defence.
Wtf are we going on abart ? I've only jusy woke up ffs

I thought he was a defensive midfielder but had never seen him play. Would you say he was more of a holding type midfielder, taking up good positions and not moving around so much but making the centre of the pitch his own or running around a lot chasing, biting into tackles?BlackHillsPaul wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 1:51 am Jesse was a Defensive Midfielder. Just don't tell any Schroedinger fans. I suspect Schroedinger killed the cat.

They're my team now
If they're good enough for our Leeds supporting American friend they're good enough for me !
(pssst, i don't know any others apart from that team George Best played for, was it NY Cosmos or summert i don't know, are they still going Paul?)

Re: Tyler Adams
A Defensive midfielder for sure. But could also get box to box. He was a very smart player. Good tactically and read the game well. Kind of a field general. Could get into the opponents heads. But I also called him a hard man. And he was that. Absolutely loved to get stuck in for sure.weasel wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 10:21 am I thought he was a defensive midfielder but had never seen him play.
