We were very fortunate to get those big price places, Cat.

The 1st & 2nd favourites plus another horse were unseated/brought down at the 3rd fence. I was particularly lucky (makes a change) when my horse dropped to 4th position, only for the 3rd favourite to unseat its rider at the final fence.

Effectively, a 9 runner race became a 5 horse race, with all three market leaders out of the contest.

Please tell me Mr Muppet, does horseracing odds change the rules of mathematics?

It's just that 18/1 at £5 stake should be 18x5 which = 90 not 112.5

your puzzledly

£5 stake was ew (each way) nag came in 1st, therefore: 18 x 5 = £90 + 18 divided by 4 = 4.5 x £5 = £22.50 = total £112.50.
