He plays for Torino in Italy and looks set to move on having admitted he has "big ambitions" and has rejected a new deal.

Probably counts us out with that comment tbf

A fee between £10-12mil would be needed.

Live in hope that our board has realised you can't operate a Premier League club with 2 senior midfielders.
Must ne the John Lukic connection

3 senior midfielders currently fit, 4 senior midfielders total, Two very good youngsters coming through... seems a decent balance

Klich through his own admission wants to play more of a 10 than the Roca/Adams role.

Doesn't like the deeper role.

So 2.

Whose the other midfielder?

Dallas (if him) is highly unlikely to play any meaningful part of this season and Forshaw is always injured (and apparently may leave in January).

Forgot about Dallas and Greenwood, so 4 fit senior midfielders, 2 injured senior midfielders, 2 young prospects coming through

Dallas won't be match-fit.

Always difficult to return to ones best form after a serious long-term injury, especially as Stuart will have no pre-season preparation when he is called upon at some stage this season, it won't be for the lack of effort as that is not in Dallas's mentality.

I don't disagree, though if anyone can come back quickly and play at the same level, it's Dallas

He should've done a Raph and earned his big move after joining Leeds. No surprise it's not worked out at Milan.

Being linked in Brazilian media and by Fabrizio Romano to 25 year old Brazilian striker Pedro.

Plays for Flamengo in Brazil.

29 goals and 10 assists last season.

Helped Flamengo to win the Copa Libertadores (Champions League for South America)

Was the top goalscorer, best player of the tournament and in team of the tournament.

He is a full Brazilian international with 2 caps and 1 goal and is in the World Cup squad.

Tall, elegant, good at holding the ball up and bringing others into play but with that unique Brazilian flair.

His lack of pace caused him to flop and Fiorentina which us a concern.

But he is something different to what we have.

Not known how much he would cost but possibly £20mil or more

I'd love to know where our resident clown is atm, and what he's up to.

Guesses anyone ?

And 'could be anywhere, but one things for sure, his finger will be well and truly stuck up his arse' isn't an acceptable answer.

The one we should be after is Endrick, Ronaldo levels of goalscoring at his age. Though I suspect he's probably already too good for us at 16.

We have been loosely linked with Weston McKennie. Any thoughts after seeing him today in the England vs USA draw? I still have doubts about how he would fit into Jesse's system. But from a purely competitive point of view he would bring more bite to the squad. Just curious.

If I could pick one more American it would Yanus Musah.

Decent

Good energy, got stuck in, took up decent positions, drove forward with the ball at times.

Not sure what he is like technically though?

Be my only concern.

I thought your team looked fantastic yesterday Paul. Midfield trio was great as were the two wide attackers and the two full backs. With most of the squad in their young 20's I can see you being among the favourites in 2026.

I'd take McKennie or Musah at Leeds. Of course that's hypothetical as the fees would have to be realistic. Really like Weah, Dest, and Robinson too. (And of course that kid from Hershey)

Highly rated Croatian U21 striker Dion Beljo has said he likes Newcastle and Leeds United in an interview today.

Despite not turning 21 till March he already has 39 goals and 10 assists in his club career and 9 this season already in the Croatian top league.

This is the type of signing we should be making imo.

It's the type of signing Brighton make.

Paying a premium for top prospects as well as first team ready players rather than relatively cheap u21 punts.
