Casemiro's (have i spelt it right?) was the best and perfect penalty.

Well, top right or left with power are probably more perfecter.

Yeah Modric is awesome, fair play.
Classic match play really. If they get you to pens you’re in trouble

Apart from the Neymar goal which was great, Brazil were average.

Croatia have played to their strengths, defence and midfield both excellent.
The fact their attack isn’t the best is why they play more conservatively, yet they took the game to Brazil from the start, then second half they made sure they didn’t lose.

He was up next. I wonder about that. You should probably load all your best penalty takers at the front. If you miss one early it's total pressure after that.

I agree with that. It's frustrating to see a team that can't win games and keep going through on PK's.

But at the same time Brazil didn't deserve anything on that showing.

They say penalties are a poor way to go out. I disagree. Any team that can't win in 120 minutes doesn't deserve to advance.

Modric at 37yo is still one of the best players in the world

Can we have him at Leeds, please

You can change the order of penalty takers now. They changed the rules. You don't have to stick with the initial order.

I understand the initial plan to have the best penalty taker at the end. But once the first penalty is missed, you have to change the order and put your best takers up next. Makes no sense to leave the best one waiting for a chance he might not get.

He highlights the difference between absolute physical beasts like Ronaldo and just naturally gifted technicians.

Players like Ronaldo have a shelf life.

Players like Modric (and Messi) can go on forever if they want just by adapting there game.
