Arse marginally better imo, good watch.
If it stays like this, we're only a straight 30 points behind city.

Anybody watching this Arsenal game see how no matter what, Arteta wants his team keeping it on the deck as much as poss, he's prepared to die on his sword wanting them to play from the back with the risks that that brings.

You watch their defence knock it around like Bert wanted us to do.

Now ask yourself this : Is Wober a better defender in the old fashioned sense than Cooper, the answer is yes he is.

Now would you want Wober after the few games you've seen for us, to be bringing the ball out from the back and trying to play 'football ' with it along with Rasmus, your answer should be no, your answer should be Cooper and Ayling and White and Dallas and Alioski and Phillips.

That my friends is what Bert tried to bring to Leeds.

And if i was a scout and buying a good old fashioned CH for my manager and i was buying for big Sam, i'd take a look at Wober for him, and possibly sign him up, coz he looks like he can defend and time his tackles ok.

Now If i was buying for Bert and he wanted someone that can distribute the ball, comfortable with it at his feet and can also defend pretty good and good in the air, but with the main qualities i want in him being him being comfortable on the ball, i would not sign him Wober.

That is how dumb some of you lot are in wanting 'defenders' in this modern day and age, and how fcking useless our DOF is in signing players and knowing the difference in what to sign.

And bear in mind, the money your Klopps and Peps spend in finding a good one, and the attempts they make, how often do Kompanys come along huh ?

Bert polished a turd in Cooper, .....you cannot polish them all.

An absolute joy to watch Arsenal now trying and playing themselves out of trouble to get themselves back on the front foot.

Well said young chap and it is why some people still bang on about Pontus. Pontus better defender as a defender than Cooper, similar to Wober in many ways, but neither Wober or Pontus are good fits in a Bielsa team.

And they end up scratching their heads Weasel when the likes of Wober (llorente) etc have to come in and play like Cooper in a Bert side...'why are we s**t at the back, bla blah blah'.....'we're conceding goals, blub blub blub'

See the bigger picture ffs.

It's a joy to watch this game now, they are under complete instructions from Arteta...." you play and bring the ball out from the back, NO MATTER FCKING WHAT, THESE ARE MY INSTRUCTIONS, AND IF YOU FAIL IT'S MY FAULT, BUT YOU DO IT MY WAY AND YOU'LL GET BETTER AT IT !"

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant to watch.

I actually like Warnock, always have. He's a character, a bit like Ian Holloway. Too many sulky, drab, boring wet behind the ears 'managers' around now. He had some great things to say about Leeds United the other day by the way :)

I honestly think that Arteta would rate Wober over Cooper for his system, though. I’d chalk up his two poor giveaways to getting adjusted to his new team and the EPL (and these games are against scUM, no less…quite a baptism by fire, no?). I just think Wober merits a little more time. Keep in mind that he is capable of playing LB as well as DM, a position requiring much more passing acumen, and a position that no one would dare put Cooper in. And Cooper has definitely had his howler giveaways…

Agree with Ayling > Rasmus. And can’t do anything about Dallas at the moment. Would love to have him back so we don’t have to see Firpo so much.

Also agree that it would be nice to have a more possession oriented coach in the fold.

My two cents
Fly Fishing, Skiing, and The Damned United
