Love seeing players smashing the ball home from distance, not against us though. Definitely think he has the technique and power to get a Yeboahesque goal.

Re: Wilfried Gnonto
His parents came from Ivory Coast to Italy, and Willy had a normal childhood there, going to school and playing football.
That was all there was for him. Messi was his idol, and he wanted to be just like him.
We met his family a few times, and they were 'almost' always having fun and enjoying the simple things in life - football and family.
Divertirme Sempre was his Motto, Always have Fun.
He learnt german in his 2 years in Zurich, and the guy was always listening and watching and wanting to learn ( about football in trainings, etc., but also from the bench in games, and chatting to people to improve his language skills )
As for the Balotelli comparisons - Mario is playing in Switzerland at the moment and his theatrics, etc., are just boring now. Gave the finger to away fans recently, injured/yellow cards, etc.,
Gnonto is in a different League to Balotelli personality-wise, and I'm sure he will eclipse anything that super Mario ever did on a football pitch - probably within the next season or two.
P.S. I didn't want to comment on Marsch, as I felt I didn't have the right to do it, not being in the UK, at the Leeds games, etc., but when he said Willy wasn't ready for the PL I realised that the guy was an idiot! Glad he's gone.

Re: Wilfried Gnonto
The fact you're quoting so many of the players versus Fulham shows how well we played. Again the voters have let the result affect their ratings in the player rating thread.

Re: Wilfried Gnonto
Apparently. Willy features on Football Focus today, minus Alex Scott.

Re: Wilfried Gnonto
Gnonto dropped again, really can't for the life of me figure this out. And I rate Harrison as a footballer, but his form has been well down recently

Re: Wilfried Gnonto
Been poor recently
Young players are always very inconsistent.
That being said I'd prefer to persevere with Willy over Harrison atm.
Maybe Gracia sees it as protecting him?

I don't think Willi has been inconsistent though, along with Summerville has been our major threat.

Re: Wilfried Gnonto
I THe only logic I can see is so that we have him as an impact sub. Excellent again today. I originally say him as being a superb impact substitution although he surpassed my high expectations for him by forcing his way into the starting line-up.

Re: Wilfried Gnonto
What's the definition of a poor pass?
"Never debate an idiot, they'll only drag you down to their level and they have the advantage of experience"
Re: Wilfried Gnonto
The contrary to a good pass...good passes must require different
qualities depending on actual context as do bad passes.
But given a context a good or bad pass would be evaluated
in regard to the optimal (suboptimal) choice of pass and how good
it was executed. The first more debatable than the latter.
Re: Wilfried Gnonto
Looking forward to seeing him on thursday, hopefully more centrally as he usually does for Italy.
Be nice to see him terrorise Englands CBs.
