I've shed any tears I had privately, but will always remember these 2 titans with the absolute greatest of respect and gratitude for their service and achievements. I'd never want to be up against Pablo for any skillset, nor against Gaetano in a dark alley or, actually, anywhere!!

Would have thought Pablo will go to Castellon, the team he part owns and have a season or to there trying to get them promoted. If I go back to Spain on holiday will have to try to watch him play for them.

Will be interesting to see where Berardi ends up. Not sure a biggish club will trust him due to his injury record and disciplinary record. Could see him going to somewhere like Series B or maybe linking up with Cellino again.

Berardi impressed me in the last couple of games. I didn't think he'd be good enough but he looked comfortable. That said, we've got 4 CB's and have to start looking towards Drameh and Cresswell too.

Pablo looked great. But he hasn't looked so great during the rest of the season. It was his time to go. Brilliant contributions to the club though. The most important part of the equation in getting us promoted.

Bielsa's players are such a tight-knit group.

Great player, even better as a central defender than full back.

Indeed he was, so composed playing not in his natural position.

The closeness of our players is there for all to see.

Yet another one of Bielsa's square peg successes.. Red card waiting to happen was a frequent observation and like Roberts suffered his fair share of "why the f**k is he playing" posts here ...

Apparently it's all Berts training that fcked him into early retirement poor chap.

Leeds cult hero Berardi announces retirement
Former Leeds defender Gaetano Berardi has announced his retirement aged 34.

Berardi made more than 150 appearances for Leeds in all competitions between 2014 and 2021, and became a fan favourite during his time at Elland Road for his all-action playing style and commitment.

He posted on Instagram: "A word can contain many emotions, many feelings, many memories and most of all many people. I choose one to close the chapter: THANK YOU!"

The Swiss right back, who won one senior international cap, was a key member of the Leeds side which won promotion to the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa in 2020.
Not dependent on Google, the www or 'stats' - Just a guy that puts his eyes to full use on the beautiful game :geek: ...That Ayling goal and "You couldn't script it  " - Dirty Leeds B@stard.
Must dash.

One of my favourite recent Leeds players.

Met him once in Leeds, was surprised how small he was.

Jaydog has told me that he is frequently shocked when he visits gloryholes too.
