WOW, if all this is true its a sad day for our club.
Lets just hope and pray things are not as bad as we think.

That's a good podcast. Pope is one of the most reliable sources of info on Leeds. I listen every week.BradWhite wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 4:20 pm Worth a listen...

Well then someone has to bang on the doors to get an offiial response to Phil Hay's reports ffs. Let's stop all the hand wringing.Cjay wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 3:08 pm You can see in his emails to the Athletic he is a total narcissist.
He may feel entitled to do what he wants.
The Athletic has seen statements and documentation signed by Radz.
So maybe everyone is telling lies, Kinnear, 49ers, everyone and they all knew (in which case we are fooked).
Or Radz has driven another nail into his relationship with the 49ers and smashed an already fragile relationship (in which case we are fooked).
It's telling though that he isn't even communicating with Kinnear.
The club isn't acknowledging his statement yesterday.
He seems to have cut himself adrift from LUFC
Of course he's a narcissist. So are 49ers Enterprises. They are a $5billion investment firm. They dont give a f*** about Leeds United. The 49ers football team are a far greater profit generator for them than we will ever be.
If they want ownership of Leeds they will get it. A minion like Radz won't stand in their way. I'm not convinced they're that keen anymore.

Because Radz or whoever, has split one main brand asset into 3 or more, it is common within large companies to do this, although just why the 49ers enterprises need a loan when their net worth is around 5.2 billion is anyones guess apart from paying less tax.
Look at big bands like Metallica, they will have several businesses built in under that one brand. Merch, Publishing, Touring et el.

This is why I said we should've bought the ground back while we had the money, rather than wasting it on dross. We could end up homeless now.
He's obviously very bitter he didn't get his huge payday, but he has no one to blame but himself.

Re: Radrizzani
I posted this on a different thread, but it's relevant.
Booting Allardyce and Orta are first steps.
The bigger issue is that Radz is staying.
So, I'd expect a guy with no footballing acumen to continue to make poor decisions.
We don't know the half of what's going on Leon, but the fact that Radz seemed happy for a jerk like Orta to be delegated to make all footballing decisions speaks volumes for me.
I'm very worried about what's coming up. We have a lot of business to take care of over the next two months, and like our players, Radz and Kinnear have shown that they disintegrate under pressure and meekly surrender.
I don't like watching our decline, but it does give me great pleasure that we are now seeing Radrizzani unmasked for the leech of a charlatan that he is. Things are gonna get very nasty and personal for him if he keeps running our club into the ground.
Radz out.

Re: Radrizzani
If the 49ers bought in to Leeds Utd and had no idea at all about the other parts connected to the club (Elland Road) then we don't want them as owners either.
Of course they know what's going on and what is and isn't part of a take over, it's not uncommon to rent grounds out, it is not illegal.
He could sell the club and still retain ownership of the ground, allow expansion and raise the rent when it suits him or god forbid the new owners plan a new build elsewhere in Leeds and ER is sold for housing development.
I can't remember when the Radz bought Elland Road but Elland Road Ltd was only incorporated in 2020.
The 49ers will want a full take over including the ground - and I would expect them to do exactly the same thing and rent it to the club too - it's business.
Edit.
Then I remembered something about LUST.

The original 2017 AoCV was allowed to lapse without LUST knowing - you’d think they would have been aware of a 5 year lifespan. But it wouldn’t preclude Radz from using ER as collateral anyway it seems:
It’s important to note the AoCV is only activated when there is a bid to buy the asset. While mind-blowing what was being reported yesterday, a loan on the asset doesn’t trigger the AoCV status, unfortunately. We will keep you updated on its progress.”
If Elland Road, as expected, gains community asset status once again, that would not solely preclude it from being used as collateral. It would give fans a fair chance of making a bid to buy the stadium if it was put onto the open market for sale.
That means there would at least be some checks and balances in place before the ground is pursued by external parties. It effectively stops the stadium from being sold overnight from underneath the feet of fans.

Re: Radrizzani
Ok, fair comment. What I don’t get though is that while the club (Radz) was a signatory in 2017, he is unlikely to sign again now, so how do LUST expect the council to ratify the renewal?Anonymous wrote: ↑Sun Jun 04, 2023 8:49 am Yes... but I imagine there was a deliberate decision not to renew, rather than it being a simple oversight.
Radrizzani originally bought the stadium as an investment for himself, and he's known for a long time that he will be exiting the club sooner rather than later.
It's not too much of a stretch to see him doing whatever he can to strengthen his financial position when he goes... especially considering what he's lost with relegation.
Speculation, of course, but the fact remains the stadium has lost what little protection it had, and Radrizzani has shown that he is prepared to jeopardise the club's future for his own benefit.
