They are in the running for every trophy every season, but the Irish Premiership, as it is now called, is on a par with maybe League 2, if I'm being generous. Healy splits the fan base, he's a good front man for the club but has others to work on the tactical side of things. He's as far away from being a contender as my first s**t!!!!
Can it attend ER for an interview?

Pep Guardiola is very successful at a rich club . . . Healy could be the Irish Pep

Who knows.

It's all looking a bit amateur atm.

Blind leading the blind.

Pub level manager shortlist

Meant to be done this week now hopefully next week.

Not a great start by our venture capital overlords but one that was worryingly predictable.

Months to plan but 0 plan beyond leave it to a marketing expert a physio and a furniture salesman.

Linfield must have heard our rumblings, they have extended his contract for another couple of years Foiled

I was half joking.

My thoughts, I know he is Irish League and is well paid and has a club with vast resources, but also lives with the fan expectation of winning trophies every season, but talent is talent and lets recall the likes of Martin O'Neill was started at Grantham, then Wycombe, before elevating to the PL and into International football.
He was able to do that because he under stood the game and also had played at a high level.

What is interesting is that on 18 months we have went from turning our noses up at the likes of Potter and Rodgers to essentially be running around with a bloody begging bowl looking for a manager who would take us on.

It's very beige, Cjay, that list of potential managers, can't disagree. But as I said elsewhere, I don't think the club is looking long term, feels like it's all eggs in the "let's get straight back up" basket and they are looking at managers with a pedigree for doing so. a risky strategy, and whilst I can see the merit in it, it doesn't come with any guarantees and also feels like a missed opportunity. The club, and how it's run from top to bottom, needs a reset and relegation could have been the chance to do so. Experienced, and not rogue, DOF, progressive manager with a style and philosophy to be embedded throughout the playing tiers, the Championship could have afforded us the opportunity to do that. Establish a 5 year plan for where we want to be, recognise that it might mean a season (or two) of consolidation before pushing on. Yes, there would have been grumbles, but I think a majority of the fanbase would accept that if there was a clear direction of travel. As it is, who knows?

Some jobs have you come in and work a day as a try out

Maybe they should do that with all the candidates
