Obsessing over managers with previous Championship promotion experience because that's how you get promotion rather than just the best manager you can :duno:

of the 57 teams who have been promoted since we were relegated to the Championship in 2004, only 16 (28%) were managed be someone with previous experience of promotion from that level. 2 from the last 16 teams

Clearly he doesn't want to be with a headless chaotic club in the Championship.

Small club, small loyal fanbase, very small resources compared to rivals (all be it there new owner is putting some cash in now).

Seems a very sensible appointment.
But they weren't competing in a league full of sugar daddy clubs. It's almost impossible to stay in the PL with low resources.

I'd take Gary O'Neil. We could do worse.

Was thinking the same thing. Thought he did ok to keep the Cherries up. I suppose a lot of people will turn their nose up at him but guess what they aren’t exactly beating the ER door down
I declare my love for Saint Daniel and I can shoehorn him in to any conversation.

Yes I am surprised O'Neil was sacked after his performance last season. No loyalty there. Maybe he could do a job for us.

just been reported the LUFC board NOT prepared to pay any compensation fee to land a manager, so thats the Carlos out of the frame. The fee being a huge ! £2m.

Oh we really do lack the balls
Leeds need to bring in a midfielder who can score goals and a decent number 9 in Jan 2027.

Ideally the board would say more about the search but maybe their hands are tied until the takeover is approved - at the moment same with gracia and allardyce you get the feeling the appointment is going to be one of last resort.

Depends how good your scouting is.

The January signings Bournemouth made contributed to enough points to keep them up

Some positive news at last

But if they won't even pay compensation it's not great.

The list is crap anyway which explains it given its made by Angus Kinnear with advice from Sam bloody Allardyce

But they will also lose the promotion bounce/buzz of last season. It starts to get harder when players start demanding more money, mercenaries get signed etc.

Perhaps.

Anyway I would imagine Bournemouth didn't rely on a marketing director to pick there next manager.

So they have something over us.

According to reports Leeds have cooled their interest in Corberan for two reasons; he doesn't have PL experience and they don't want to pay £2 million compensation to WBA. Absolutely ridiculous! He'd gain PL experience in 24-25 when he's taken Leeds up and £2 million? More than ten times that amount was paid out to sign a player last season who barely kicked a ball in a white shirt. The new owners have just paid £170,000,000 to buy the club. How much more important is the next manager/head coach than any Leeds United player!

Talk about spoiling the ship for a ha'porth of tar.

Leadership over tactics.

Culture.

Waffle.

I'm far more convinced the 49ers were behind Marsch than I was (at very least wanted him as much as Orta).

Absolute drivel.
