I think that what we have here is a classic example that the weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. But the future depends on what we do in the present, if we get up do we want them back or are we then too good for them? If we stay down and they have done well do we want them back or are they too good for us?

It is easy to say that the earth provides enough to satisfy every man's needs, but not every man's greed and whilst we, as a club, can provide them with a more than generous wage it is less than what they signed for and less than what the feel they deserve.

If we do get promoted and Sinisterra wanted to stay and instead we choose to get rid then surely it is simple pettiness and we all know that an eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind. What we need though now, more than anything, is players who are mentally strong. Strength does not come from physical capacity, it comes from an indomitable will. That is the strength we need, not someone pumping their chest or kissing the badge then leaving us when the going gets tough. We have to learn though and perhaps we as a club have to be brave. In a gentle way, you can shake the world and that is what we did when we made Gnonto honour his contract. We need to be the change that you wish to see in the world.

We mustn't though think of all footballers as greedy people who do not care. We, as a club and as fans, must see the good in people and help them. You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty. After all an ounce of patience is worth more than a tonne of preaching and we are all guilty of having no patience, jumping to conclusions and then using this messageboard to preach our views as if we are right and everyone else is wrong. You may disagree with what I say but I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet.

Not me mate, Luke is one of the good guys, a real servant to our club who played a big part laeding up to, and in our championship title season. I still have memories of his golden moments vs Birmingham & Huddersfield.

What the hell did last season's bunch of cowards achieve? No memories to speak of too, apart from the odd one from Rodrigo!

He’s much derided now though isn’t he. Especially after the arrival of Spence.
At Ipswich he made me laugh a couple of times with his flops but he gets everything out of his talent I’d say, how many can you honestly say that about recently.

Derided by people who don't understand the way his manager wants him to play the position and think he is a right back who should always be in position to defend.

Being an attacking full back doesnt mean you should be caught out of position all the time.

The best know when to go when to drop etc.

Good servant but he is cooked now.

It's not as simple as that though. I made the point that when Luke got the equaliser against WBA that if Gelhardt hadn't managed to poke the ball out wide then WBA would won the ball and Ayling would have been miles out of position. The reason the 'best' know when to go or drop isn't because they are great at making decisions it is because they play for teams who are less likely to lose the ball. If Kyle Walker played for us he'd be caught out just as often as Luke does because we lose the ball, and often extremely carelessly rather than after 30 passes. Kyle Walker for City can get forward into a good attacking position, have a cup of tea and read a newspaper, befor City either cross it in or lose the ball. He doesn't run the length of the pitch only to see City have carelessly lost it while he was charging forward and now he has no chance to get back into position.

So Luke takes the risk. The formation allows him to do this. If he is upfield and we lose the ball then he isn't expected to be back. The others slot around, Ampadu drops into defence and Rodon moves accross to be the right back. If we concede a goal because Luke has gone forward then it isn't Luke's fault it is either a fault of our system or other players not being able to adapt to new positions quickly enough.

Djed Spence, Kyle Walker etc have the advantage over Luke in that their speed can sometimes mean they are able to get back and double up with the centreback who should be covering.

Difficult when you are a 33yo man having to mark someone who is ten years younger & your starting position is halfway in the opposition's half. I know Luke gets skinned more often than not these days, but his legs have gone, which comes to us all as we age, some of my body parts went years ago ;-)

The last player to come back to this club as far as I can remember was batty
Now if we had somebody of that calibre and quality in the midfield then it would be a welcome return
This kamara and gruev won't make a blind bit of difference, because too many areas of the team need fixing

Nope they can all stay away for me, they all made their decision to leave once THEY had got us relegated by lack of fight and effort, none of the list above will be remembered in football, not for anything good anyway
