Christ that felt like a long long game, good to get the result but that performance is not good enough, just not clicking regularly at the moment. It’s controversial but I’d start bamford over Piroe next game if Farke is going to continue using Piroe in the 10 position.

And playing in his natural position. By the way his whoscored rating that everyone raves about was over 7 last season while playing at left back and he was top 15 in Europe... at that point.

Not sure I like Rutter out on the right, he totally disappeared when Anthony went off. Scrappy game but 3 points is 3 points and a win on Saturday will keep us in the hunt.

3 points
Much of this performance is forgettable. Move on to the next one
In 5 days time, we won’t remember this game beyond the result.
I don’t think the Ayling/Cooper dance is sustainable

Happy with the win, happy we were the better side, not too happy with the overall performance in the 2nd half. Nice to not be at our best and dominate, these are the games we need to collect 3 points in.
I wonder if Bamford will be in any trouble, but I'm pretty upset at him for that, because it's a clear chance of a goal, I'd have preferred 2-0 than getting them a red card. Is it a sign of a striker who doesn't feel confident finishing?

Was a good cameo from Bamford. He did well, but clearly cheated for the sending off
QPR commentators calling him ' Bamford the cheat' for the rest of the game

Re: Leeds Utd v Queens Park Rangers Match Thread
Win is what matters
Performance was comfortable because QPR were crap so we didn't have to do anymore than be average.
Summerville, Anthony, Rutter, Ampadu, Gray, all had decent games.
Struijk, Rodon and Byram did what little they had to do.
Ayling improved a bit second half but looked like a Sunday league player who'd been on the beers till 5am and was playing at 9am, odd Performance.
Piroe is becoming a problem, he is basically Rodrigo, shoehorned in a role he doesn't suit and if he doesn't score he may as well sit down.
Bamford was better but didn't like the Begovic behaviour
Did what we had to

Instills no great confidence. We looked like we might concede most of the second half.YorkshireSquare wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 8:49 pm Not sure how I feel about that. Win is a win but that second half was pretty scrappy.

We still look very disjointed. I know the team is still settling but we don’t seem to be progressing. We also got very jittery as time passed and obviously began to think more about them equalising than us getting a second to close it out. And at the end of the day that QPR team were poor.

Bamford on totally nullified everything good Rutter had been doing

Thought we looked ok before the subs, lost shape and direction later on
