We got battered by one of the leaders of the Aussie Pairs match yesterday, I reckon Peter & Ian will end up champions come next March, they are far too good for all but one team in this league.

A photo of the final end, there were at least 5 ends similar to this, a couple of ends with all the woods much closer to the jack. Ironically the three blue bowls on the outer circle of the head were the oppositions woods.

We actually played well, but Peter/Ian were just too good for us, the amount of times we were laying 2 to 5 shots up & they took our woods out was incredible!

Peter is or was in the top 50 in the short mat game around the world, he was playing in a Norway tournament last week, so whether it's lawn, indoor or short mat bowls, he is a top bowler.

Sounds very competitive but good to play against players like that
We are 3 weeks into our pennant season against other clubs

Two good wins to start the week off.

Yesterday, The Three Leos beat one of the Driffield teams, the C Teamers 7-43 in our Triple League match. We are doing a Leeds as we move up to 3rd in the table.

Today Melvyn & I had a fantastic win over our fellow Hutton Cranswick teammates (both are in my triples team) 25-7, they were strong favourites to win this Aussie Pairs match.

Next up, a Triples League match against one of the three Beverley teams 'Second Best' on Thursday.

Thanks mate, I'm playing my best bowls in the 20 years I've played the sport.

Both leagues are so competitive, as we have many of the best bowlers around the East Yorks circuit that we are competing against, it's going to be a tough ask to win more trophies. :cup
