Josh Smith
Will be referee again, he is the highest ranking ref we've had so far this season, he was in charge at home to Cardiff first game of season.
An average of 7.8 but he had 11 votes, can he keep up the good work, can he get anywhere near the same amount of votes again !!

I didn't watch the game but would be good to hear everyone's thoughts after the Plymouth manager comments

He let a LOT of stuff go. The good news is he let us get away with two possible penalties.

Decent performance and not prepared to give soft penalties for either side.

Personally, I don’t mind it when the ref lets things go, as long as he does it for both sides, makes for a much better game.

I’ll give him a 6/10
Didn’t do enough to warn them for their constant time wasting from the 17 minute onwards, also guilty of not booking when they clattered our players, 2 penalty shouts, one either way , so balanced it out.
Still one of the best refs we’ve had.

Once again, another referee who gave us no protection whatsoever, as their clumsy oafs clattered our players.

He wasn't going to give the foul on Piroe, running towards the kop end, until the lady linesman was waving her flag frantically.

Ref did alreet for me, i think he got the penalty claims for either side right, the game pretty much flowed.

Rutters that type of skilful player 64, he's gonna draw fouls through his skill, not too dissimilar to Grealish so i hope he doesn't start dropping like him, he'll get a lot of taps and knocks, it's the leg breakers that really hurt.

7.5/10 for me - The game wasn't all about the ref.

You see, different views.

I remember that particular incident well, now i thought fair play to the lineslady, no fcking about and instantly up with her flag, we have no idea whether the ref was gonna give it anyway coz she beat him to it, was closer to the incident and a better view of it.

She's only to stick her flag up that she's got in her hand, is the ref running with his whistle in his hand behind the incident ?

And she was in line with it with a full view.

Below average performance for me as seemed to be poorly positioned at times and so subsequently missed quite a few fouls. One of which was a clear penalty for a nasty challenge on Dan James.

Yes fully agree with your comments. The challenge on James was terrible.
I was told never use your studs in a tackle as you can get sent off.
Does it need another badly broken leg before the morons running the game come down hard on these sorts of tackles.

2 of those are for getting his boots on the right feet, the other is because I don't want to come across as bitter about his lack of knowledge regarding a studs up challenge that ought to have been a penalty.
