Most definitely. It beats a bunch of overpaid self-entitled knobs rolling around on a field feigning injury

Used to go and see the Nottingham Panthers many years back.
The game has everything, speed, skill and the art of taking a player out of the game by smashing his body
into the surround. That's ok evidently but if a player raises his stick while in play, the gloves are off and all hell breaks loose.

Never been, had a few chances of corporate hospitality in Sheffield but never really fancied it.

I've only ever been to two games.

The first 🏒 was when my wife and I had gone for a 3 or 4 day city break to NYC some 25/26yrs ago now.

I remember we stayed in a pretty down market hotel, but the plus side was that it was bang in the middle of Manhattan, in fact right opposite Madison Square Garden and so one evening we ended up going to see the NY Rangers v Washington Capitals. At that time Wayne Gretzky was playing for the Rangers..........so it wasn't bad, first ever game - was an NHL game, in the iconic MSG, whilst also seeing one of the greatest (if not the greatest) ice hockey player of all time. It was a fantastic experience

The second 🏒 game was watching the Cardiff Devils - unsurprisingly, it just wasn't the same 🙄

In 1989 Clint Malarchuk, who was goalie for the Sabres had his throat cut during a match.

I was at a conference where he was the keynote speaker. His life was saved by one of the coaches, who was a Vietnam vet. He stuffed his fist into the wound and stemmed the bleeding.

Very emotional listening to him tell his life story.

I'm not a regular by any means but always enjoyed going to watch Belfast Giants. Who incidentally have Petr Cech as their goalie this season. ( I think he just likes wearing that head protector)
The hockey is fast paced and is quite captivating.

Give it a go.

Entertaining , skillful, physical, fast … no rolling around for pretend free kicks from overpaid prima donnas

Definitely worth a visit
