I just don't think Bamford is up to the task I would like to know ow what he is doing in training that we ain't seeing on Match day .I much prefer Rutter / Piroe as a set up .
Been reading some birmingham forums and they are already lamenting the referee for the game as they think he is baised towards them.
With Stuijk Darlow Piroe and Spence out of the team, I think we well need all the advantages we can get

Not when Farke is still being to stubborn to admit he was wrong about Piroe.
Fans have been calling for Rutter to play 10 for ages, that good.
But Farke can't just admit he got it wrong and let Pirpe have 1 chance as a striker?
Have you never noticed Rutter dropping into our half and getting the ball? Does Rutter play as a traditional 9? No. He interchanges a lot with Piroe and often drops deeper than Piroe.
My feeling, and I mentioned this a while ago, is that we have nobody up front who plays with their back to goal but looks to actually hold the ball up and lay it off rather than immediately trying to turn with the ball. We are a bit too predictable when teams pack the defence against us. Is Bamford the answer? Possibly not but he could be a useful foil to get the ball, lay it off to midfield whilst drawing players to him, and then a midfielder slides the ball through for James or Summerville to run on to. That likely makes Summerville and James more threatening against a parked bus defence as they are then in a foot race with just their marker and if they get to the ball can cut in to the box which makes a centreback have to come to meet them, this then means the box is less packed and hopefully there is a bit more space for Bamford or Rutter. Admittedly you'd then want Piroe to be the one on the end of the chance rather than Bamford.

Why can't Piroe play with his back to goal, he has all the necessary attributes to do so

Another hypothetical, but IF Cooper or Rodon go down, who comes on at CB? Why no Cresswell? Something doesn’t smell right…

True, but hardly ideal. Would prefer Cresswell there or perhaps Ayling if we’re really desperate. Just find it strange considering some of the transfer rumors.

I never said he can't. I think Bamford out of our squad is probably the best at it but no reason why Piroe can't do it. I think for most of this season the Piroe/Rutter combination has worked well

Weird all round, is there something in training we’re not seeing/hearing about or is there something else going on. I’ve backed Farke all season but if we don’t win today he’s going to get slaughtered on here & rightly so. Spence at RB & Archie in MF a no brainer to me, Bamford

I think the only thing going round is how quick the games are coming which means that little knocks that would sort themselves out in a couple more days don't and as such players can't play.

Is there any evidence of that? Piroe has the size and better footwork, both lack pace, Piroe better in the air.
