I now have James as my MOTM going into HT, difficult to argue against a great assist and well taken goal, plus other work

Halfway there to my earlier comment about us eating our words about them. TBF, Brum look poor

gotta love Georgi's enthusiasm, if not his decision making sometimes. Average first half with a burst in the final 10-15 mins. Just shows what a bit of movement can bring you.

Re: Leeds Utd v Birmingham City Match Thread
Rutter looks much happier at 10 than Piroe, takes up really intelligent positions.
Bamford looks better at 9 than Rutter and has a strikers instinct hence his goal.
And Firpo good lord looks like a real decent wing back, it changes the dynamics having a natural left footed there.
Happy enough.
Done OK after a slog of half am hour.

Haven’t noticed, but will keep an eye out. He’s looked pretty leggy of recent, imhoThe Subhuman wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 3:52 pm Anyone notice Ampadu is dodgy with players running across our box?

Great move for the second goal but having seen the replays, I think Ruddy saves it without the deflection.
But who cares?
2-0 will do very nicely

Rodon and Rutter not far behind. Summerville and Bamford have also performed well

They've had time tbf and players aside from Gray are playing in the natural positions.
Unsurprisingly Birmingham best chance came down Grays side.
But happy for Firpo and Bamford, taken a ton of stick but both should be fine at this level if given a chance.

Just keep him going forward and we'll be reet, panic only sets in when defensive duties are required.

Not the prettiest performance, but quite effective.
They had only one decent opportunity. Just have to maintain concentration from here in

Couple of recent goals he's missed tackles, and there allowing the forward to get a shot off which KK saved, not sure if it's fear of giving away a pen but he's pulling his punches..

Can’t be bothered to check back but I hope all those Bamford-haters had the grace not to cheer when he scored.

More I look at this Brooks or any decent left footed attacking midfielder/winger would be really useful.
James has been brilliant today don't get me wrong.
But it's something totally different to what we have

He's finally made changes and given players longer than 10 minutes and playing players in the position they want to play
