Even with 6 changes that team should be good enough so no excuses today.

Ahh yes there is that, he could be off.Barlow Boy wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2024 1:05 pm I’m assuming Ampadu is at CB.
Can only imagine the writing is in the wall for Charlie Cresswell now, not even in the squad for an FA Cup tie v Peterborough speaks volumes.

There are a number of internationals in that team, should be strong enough, although I did go 2-1 loss in the prediction thread. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2024 1:06 pm Not sure that it is, it seems to be a lot of changes plus positional changes... I'd make us underdogs

I'm off to put a bet on the Posh, great value and potentially goals galore.

He must be going out on loan or even being sold for him not to even be on the bench todayBarlow Boy wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2024 1:05 pm I’m assuming Ampadu is at CB.

All the pace taken out of our team without James, Summerville & Rutter.
Could be a real struggle.

Would love to know why Farke has taken such a disliking to Charlie Cresswell
Give him a big new contract and seemingly first team number.
Totally ignore him after
Weird and shame

Re: Peterborough Utd v Leeds Utd Match Thread
Should be interesting
I make them slight favourites, third in the division below, unbeaten in 5 (at least). I'm assuming they're playing to win so close to full strength? At home! Us looking a bit of an unstructured mess today
I think the line "should be good enough so no excuses today" has often gone before one of our many cup disasters in the past
We obviously can win, but this is a definite banana skin...

I assume rightly or not, we go 3 at the back, wtf would even a halfwit put Ampadu as CB.

All on the bench though, I can see DF’s thinking in that squad to be fair.
Personally I’m not bothered either way about the FA Cup.

Re: Peterborough Utd v Leeds Utd Match Thread
If he is going on loan then that maybe in the works, ditto Ayling who could have stepped in at centre half today. But yes I was hoping to see a CC/Rodon partnership today... think it might work even if both are right sided. Amps at CB has me worried

Re: Peterborough Utd v Leeds Utd Match Thread
From official site the line up will be.
Leeds United face Peterborough United in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup at London Road this afternoon and Daniel Farke has made a total of six changes to the starting line-up following our league win over Birmingham City.
Kristoffer Klaesson continues in goal for the Whites, and his defence includes Joe Rodon, captain Ethan Ampadu, Jamie Shackleton and Junior Firpo.
Archie Gray moves to midfield and links up with Ilia Gruev, whilst Patrick Bamford is joined by Jaidon Anthony, Willy Gnonto and Joel Piroe in our attack.

If you read DF talk re reason for Spence loan termination he does not state the real reason of attitude being the reason, Spurs have immediatly placed spence for sale
Leeds need a great summer 2026 with outgoings and incoming players

I get confused these days with wing backs etc, but isn’t it a back four of Gray, Ampadu, Rodon and Firpo.mentalcase wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2024 1:17 pm I assume rightly or not, we go 3 at the back, wtf would even a halfwit put Ampadu as CB.

I had to switch a couple of my brain cells on to figure out who this guy Shackleton was.

Re: Peterborough Utd v Leeds Utd Match Thread
Think it will be wide open as Peterborough are very attack minded and score goals for fun. This could leave them vulnerable at the back. If only we had some pace for break aways, very strong bench if we’re struggling
