Nice finish.
Do wonder how well he'd have done in midfield all season.
Goals from midfield has been really lacking

Did Archie come on as a RB?
He made a pass from the back, then watch his run from deep off the ball/

Don't think so?
The right back is pushed on.
Norton-Cuffey who set up the goal is definitely a right back.
And Gray came on for McAtee whose a midfielder?

Even so, Archie's run started from the RB though.

Just from that clip it looks like Archie played right back

Great set-up and what a run. Someone should tell him to be sure and save some for next week

You know what, I honestly don't think Southgate has ruled him out of the senior squad for the Euros yet judging by the way he was praising him recently.

NXTGN's 2024: The 50 Best Wonderkids in Football
43. Archie Gray (Leeds United)
Most football-mad families are fortunate if just one member of their clan makes it as a professional player, but for Archie Gray, playing for Leeds United is just part of the family business. Gray’s father, grandfather and great-uncle all represented the Whites - but there is a real chance that the 18-year-old could surpass them all with his achievements.
Gray first made the Leeds bench as a 15-year-old, and eventually forced his way into the line-up at the start of this season. He has become a near ever-present under Daniel Farke, as he began the campaign in central midfield before showcasing his versatility by switching to right-back. An England youth captain, Gray’s performances have seen him linked with Liverpool and Manchester United, though it could take a bid of up to £40m ($51m) to take him away from Elland Road.

Definitely part of a midfield three at the start of that clip I'd say, then with the full back pushed on he drops in to get on the ball just like he was doing for Leeds at the beginning of the season.
Super goal and what's really impressive is how he makes the forward pass and then gets straight on his bike with a lung bursting run to eventually get played in on goal, plus the cool finish under the keeper just oozes class.

Everyone has their price and so it's becoming a question of when and not if.

Goal and assist so far .... less than 90 minutes played?
He's going to be tough to hang onto if he decides he wants to test himself...

Completely exposed by Farke again and his weird experiments.
Played right back all season now uses him as a holding midfielder by himself behind a midfield of James, Piroe, Gnonto and Summerville.
Felt sorry for him today.

I'm sure he'd be happy to play in goal Cjay....as long as he's playing

Nothing we can do unfortunately. Kalvin was a regular for England, and that wasn't enough to keep him.

Doubt Archie would want to leave to be honest...
