Southampton were flying until their unbeaten run ended. We need to make sure it isn't followed by another loss.

I have to hold my hands up, I think it's time for Joseph to start.White Riot wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 5:57 pm If we're talking about swiftly addressing problems let's hope DF isn't in charge of that too![]()
I'm sure he cries when he finally hooks Bamfraud, imagine the deep depression if he finally finds the nuts and sense to drop that donkey![]()

A home game against a team fighting for nothing.
That’s what you want after Coventry.
No excuses.

I enjoy the Just Joe shows with his guests. Ger one of them this evening.Carrick Dave wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 6:51 pm I'm the same, funny enough. I'm liking Joe Blackburn more now, but Ger & Locky are best for me, and I'm looking forward to Evie getting some content out.

Can I say Firpo’s dead ball delivery was excellent. He must have earned a chance to take corners as well

Thing is, 80% of the time we only attack down the left. Makes us predictable and ensures that Cree & Geo get a kicking week after week. Maybe they don't trust James, and having Gnonto available will allow them to mix it up a bit more.White Riot wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 6:42 pm![]()

We depend a lot on Summerville and Georgi, who are both usually surrounded by three players and get the rough house treatment every match.
There's a continual hope from Farke that these two can work miracles. It's not helped by players like Bamfraud and Kamara not contributing.

Dint finish work til 4pm, so missed the first half. Clocked out, tuned in and listened to Leeds going 2-0 down.
Watching the vid link on my way home Leeds lacked urgency, were too slow and predictable. After pulling a goal back they began to attack more, but with a line of determined blue shirts waiting for them a point would have felt like a victory.
Good old Norwich saved the day and win 2 home games in 7 days, then resting for 9 before travelling to boro we could be smiling at the Championship table. We could also be raging at what could have been, but at least we then go on and into the playoffs.
Bamford needs dropping in favour of Joseph and Gnonto should be starting. A quick blitz, get in front and then control the game.

We have been looking very Championshipy of late without the flair from Geo. I wouldn't want to be meeting Cov or West Brom in the playoffs personally. Big sam in the way they play, big men up top and are a real threat at set pieces, which is our nemesis.

We let a big chance slip away today after the Ipswich result no surprise there for me it's what happens if your a Leeds fan.
As we all keep saying it's too tight to call now but if Leicester win that game in hand then it's a fight for 2nd.

Hopefully we've got that one of our system. We've been staggering lately and winging a bit, today it caught up with us.
Changes needed for Tuesday for sure. Kamara needs resting and Bamford needs retiring.

We went to the ice hockey tonight to cheer myself up.
Belfast Giants v Sheffield Steelers.
Patrick Bamford wow playing for both sides so it was no surprise it was 0-0 after two thirds of the game.
After he was subbed Belfast ran out wingers 4-1.

The whole thing is very counter productive when you consider as someone said on this thread we aren't about quick well worked passing triangles and are very reliant on Summerville or Rutter beating a man to create an opportunity.White Riot wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 5:48 pm It kills our ability to counter attack. We're too ponderous when the opportunity presents itself.
When we are also useless at set pieces, then we're severely limiting our goal scoring potential, and providing relief to our opponents.
Our deliberate slow build up directly makes this harder for them.
We complain Georgie gets dispossessed so much, partly his fault and partly a tactical issue imo.
The unwillingness to not use switches of play to get our wingers 1v1 vs a full back is another thing that really bothers me.
I assume its all down to DF and his desire to keep the ball.

Those are my faves, too, Dave! Listen to Ger’s morning update every day. Love it when Joe has Ger, Locky, Andrea, and Evie on the Final Word. Connor’s show is best when he has Brownie on there as part of his Debrief, IMHO.Carrick Dave wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 6:51 pm I'm the same, funny enough. Well, believe you me, I won’t make the mistake a third time. I’ll simply follow the match thread and hope that LUTV provides the replay (upon victory, of course)
