Couldn't believe it Kev. Both Haaland AND DeBruyner subbed. Wow. What was he thinking...Barlow Boy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 11:11 pm Obviously, Pep is a zillion miles ahead of me when it comes to football, but taking off Haaland and KDB then allowing your keeper to take a penalty is absolutely bonkers.

The cyborg was subbed just before ET began so we had what was essentially a quarter of the game to go. KDB though, yes he would have been handy to have available.Barlow Boy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 11:11 pm Obviously, Pep is a zillion miles ahead of me when it comes to football, but taking off Haaland and KDB then allowing your keeper to take a penalty is absolutely bonkers.

Citeh have a semi-final v Chelsea on Saturday.
Haaland & De Bruyne have recently returned from injuries, perhaps Pep didn't want to burn them out.
Unlike Leeds, Citeh have a squad of world class players, even their defenders can take quality penalties.

I'm very happy James, with the points I've accumulated from the three Citeh players in my fantasy team over the season.White Riot wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 6:01 am Poor Slaphead

Re: Today's Games
The one I find most ironic is when City pipped Liverpool in the head to head season when both kept winning.
The goal that effectively won the title was the most un-city like goal when Kompany shot from 30 yards to beat Leicester.
For me their fault is to over elaborate.

Leeds are exactly the same.Jimstorrie wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 1:17 pm The one I find most ironic is when City pipped Liverpool in the head to head season when both kept winning.

They didnt do very well last night with the pens...also, I'm sick of seeing Pep constantly spitting. Its disgusting and unnecessary.

No EPL teams left in the Champions League.
Damned disappointing.

Re: Today's Games
Matty Cash gets the equaliser for Villa.
Shows the benefit of having a dig. Blasted the ball at goal, took a deflection and scored.
I'd take that over 70% possession in our own half and then trying to walk the ball in.

Lille v Villa goes to extra time.
Cash's equaliser came with a couple of minutes left.
Villa have been second best all night, but managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Looking like penalties, 15 minutes to go.

My son is a Pool supporter ( I know I know, I’d slap him but he’s bigger than me) and has been convinced they’re going to overturn this 3-0. Off to a flyer.
