Leeds United are delighted to announce that Ethan Ampadu has been named Player of the Year for the 2023/24 season.
The 23-year-old joined the Whites last summer and has been a mainstay in the team under Daniel Farke, making 48 appearances so far this season across all competitions.
Ampadu’s versatility has been key, with him operating both in midfield and defence for large parts of the campaign.
As well as his ability on the pitch, the Welsh international has also captained the side on a number of occasions, showing his leadership qualities.
During an Emirates FA Cup tie away at Peterborough United in January, he also scored his first goals for the club, netting twice in the fixture to help secure progress into the next round.
Following an outstanding first season with the club, Ampadu has been recognised with this award which was voted for by the Leeds United fanbase.
He will now be looking to continue helping Farke’s side as they aim for a strong finish to the 2023/24 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

Re: Leeds United's - PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Between Ampadu & Rodon for me.
Our two most consistent performers by a country mile!
Made less errors than any other player.
And the reasons why have conceded only 34 goals 42 games.
Two captains at the back imo!
