I'll tell thee what though, he proper commanded his area, punched well clear, took control, marshalled the defence and made crucial saves, MOM for Blackburn without doubt.

Agree, he was their MOTM, Pears knew what he was doing, his glare towards the kop as our fans jeered him when he was p*ssing about said it all.mentalcase wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 10:43 pm I'll tell thee what though, he proper commanded his area, punched well clear, took control, marshalled the defence and made crucial saves, MOM for Blackburn without doubt.
What amazes me is how keepers continually get away with their antics without being penalised until the final minutes of a game.

8 minutes on the clock when they started shithousing, I said to the lad next to me it will continue and it did, the ref ought to have done something about it earlier I agree, but our own fault we couldn't unlock their defence.1964white wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 6:13 am Agree, he was their MOTM, Pears knew what he was doing, his glare towards the kop as our fans jeered him when he was p*ssing about said it all.

Re: Twat of the Week.
If the Officials condone and allow the blatant timewasting - they must do as they seem to not see what is going on - then I can't say I blame players seeking to take the advantage. It happens in almost every game and the people being robbed are the spectators.mentalcase wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 9:23 am 8 minutes on the clock when they started shithousing, I said to the lad next to me it will continue and it did, the ref ought to have done something about it earlier I agree, but our own fault we couldn't unlock their defence.

Re: Twat of the Week.
The other tactic was to deliberately try to take throw-ins from the wrong place so the ref has to move them back to waste more seconds.
They should give the lino some of the shaving foam stuff. Then instead of touching the flag to the place to be taken, give it a squirt to mark the spot. If a player then takes a throw-in beyond that point call it as a foul throw and give it to the other side.
This would stop them pinching yards and using it as a time wasting ploy.

The linesman in front of me at the west stand didn't know what to do, he was a joke all afternoon, kept looking at the ref for decisions too scared to raise his flag until the refPrisoner37 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 3:17 pm The other tactic was to deliberately try to take throw-ins from the wrong place so the ref has to move them back to waste more seconds.

made his mind up, as has been said, the ones being robbed are the spectators.
Never mind where is our set-piece coach, where the bloody hell is our shithousing coach !!!

Re: Twat of the Week.
TBH thought their keeper, just like the Sunderland one,did what was expected and had nothing of any sorts to deal with. If that’s MOM so be it.
No amount of added time would have changed the scoreline

Why can't the authorities implement good ideas like yours, Prisoner?Prisoner37 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 3:17 pm The other tactic was to deliberately try to take throw-ins from the wrong place so the ref has to move them back to waste more seconds.

Re: Twat of the Week - Last week's twat got his comeuppance!
Allegedly the VAR guy in the EFC v Forest game is a massive Luton fan, apart from it ruining the game if not used correctly, this has always been in the back of my mind, i know refs have always been 'nobbled' especially on the continent, but fck me Var takes it to another level, and the likes of Juventus etc will surely find some way of putting huge sums of money into the assistant var refs pockets.
I feel it's wide open to corruption.
