Would be good to set the record straight and give Southampton a spanking. I have a feeling SOuthampton might suit us more. If we got WBA we'd be the overwhelming favourites and that could be bad for us, as evidenced when we got ourselves into a position where we were favourites to get promoted, it would also likely suit WBA to be the underdogs and to be able to play their way. If we play Southampton then they'd be favourites, even if bookies suggested otherwise. It would focus us more in training and we would know we would have to be really up for it. The two league fixtures against Southampton don't scare me. The first time we played them they were in poor form, we were in good form and our fans were expecting us to thrash them. Maybe the players thought that way too and underestimated Southampton. Second match and we were playing bereft of confidence and trying a 'plan b' approach.

Play at our best and we are the better team v either of these teams. Play at our best and take our chances and we win.

Southampton are clearly a better team than WBA but at the end of the day it will be down to us to turn up on the day and beat whichever team stands in our way.

And while I’m less afraid of West Brom’s lineup, I think my hatred of Russell Martin pushes me over. Nothing would please me more than for us doing something similar to him as we did to Ashley Barnes tonight. I say bring on Southampton!!

Being a Bielsa disciple I think Corboran against all odds will stuff Southampton tonight.

The stuffing will be a taxidermists delight save for Russell Martin who will have stuffing coming from every orifice.

Usually a taxidermist will stuff and then mount, with Martin it will be mount then stuff.
