Muppet the Cat wrote: Sun May 19, 2024 11:45 am Are you trying to rubbish my theory before it’s gained any traction, Foxy :duno:

I’m going to put it to the test across today’s three U.K. meetings 👍
I don’t see how there can be a theory apart from what I’ve pointed out Cat.
A mate of mine always used to do top & bottom weight in handicaps. Top is in theory the best horse and bottom has no weight.
Let me know your findings 👍🏼
I’ve done all number 1’s in the ITV7 so if that comes in they’ll be a gift in the post to Cardiff.
And before you say it no it won’t be a number 2

Well Foxy, I forgot to check on Sunday............however, yesterday across 5 meetings and 33 races the results were as follows, all on the basis of £5 ew on the #1 horse (noting there were a couple of #1 NR's):

Carlisle: £50 stake - +£6.26
Redcar: £80 stake - +£15.01
Roscommon: £70 stake - +£35.22
Newton Abbot: £60 stake - -£25.16
Windsor: £70 stake - -£59.37

So altogether £28.04 down................but the undoubted scientific conclusion that can be drawn from this one day sample is that the theory is clearly evidenced in Ireland and north of Watford in the UK !!!!

......and any #2 in the post would clearly be marked return to sender !
