No chance Rory now. The course was made for him yesterday. Very disappointing.
Great leaderboard though. But Scheffler must be some cool dude after what happened to him.

So Schefflers usual caddie has gone home for his daughter’s graduation and the PGA tour chaplain takes up bag duties for round 3. What a bizarre tournament for Scottie Dog.
And his court hearing on Tuesday. If he wins this it has to be one of the greatest achievements in golf. Ever.

Was so impressed with his post round presser yesterday. Humble, genuine and not a hint of accusation or excuses. A great example for the kids today.

Maybe not. Depends how far behind he is.

Hopefully a European player or failing that Xander soufflé. Should be a proper scrap at the top though.
One thing is for sure the S Dog ain’t winning.

Tempted by DeChambeau @ 7/1
Can’t stand him but he thrives on pressure which is more than you can say for Soufflé & Morikawa.
If I can win £1500 then that’s play off final ticket sorted 😁

Congratulations to Xander Shauffle for holding off Bryson Dechambeau to win the PGA Championship.
Viktor Hovland was the highest placed European, finishing third. Shane Lowry and Justin Rose were well in contention of the final day but faded towards the end.

Elsewhere, Nelly Korda won her sixth tournament in seven outings on the LPGA, winning by one shot from Hannah Green. She is without doubt the female Scheffler.

On the LET, Alexandra Feursteling won the German Masters on the second play off hole. It is her fourth win in nine tournaments on the LET and has moved her into the automatic Solheim Cup places.

Fair play to Xander. Proved a lot of people wrong under the most intense pressure. And he beat DeChambeau 🍾
Incredible from Korda.

Most annoying thing all weekend was everytime Rory hit a duff shot Paul McGinley saying it was a loss of concentration.

Of course he might be right but it's far more likely he just can't handle the heat of the majors anymore because as soon as he gets anywhere near being in contention he throws in a couple of bogeys.

Concentration my arse.

In a major it's very rare you can have a bad round and still win it.
Rory only managed a level par 71 on Friday when all the contenders were scoring low and it left him too much to do. He ended up having to go for dangerous pin placements and on those you only have to be slightly wayward and you've had it.

Happy for Schauffele but happier still that nobody from the LIV tour won.

Thought it was the height of hypocrisy for those guys to take Saudi money to abandon the PGA tour and then go to court demanding to be allowed to play in the PGA's tournament.

Totally agree.
I've lost all respect for Jon Rahm since he went to LIV after saying he wasn't interested in joining the LIV tour.
I'm glad he missed the cut.

The PGA is in shock over the sudden death of player Grayson Murray on Saturday morning.
30 year old Murray was unable to complete his second round at the Charles Schwab on Friday afternoon after feeling ill and passed away on Saturday morning.
Murray made the cut at the PGA Championship just last week.
Since turning pro in 2015, Murray had won twice on the PGA Tour but had battled alcohol and mental health issues.
RIP Grayson.
