Dear BBC. Does anyone anyone listen to the output from your match commentators or even perhaps compare it with what others are broadcasting? Or it a case of "We're the BBC and we don't do stuff like that"?

For information Martin Keown and Danny Murphy are as dull as dishwater and just about as interesting as same. Also, Jermaine Peenus is vacuous and as thick as two short planks.

Playing Alexander-Arnold in midfield because he picks the occasional nice long ball is like playing Peter Crouch as a central defender because he wins some headers.

By the time a team gets to the knockout stages ( which England will do ) you would expect them to be playing good football, been well settled in their set up and having plenty of confidence. England to date have none of those things.
Southgate must take the bull by the horns and allow the likes of Bellingham and Foden to play with a freedom instead of being stiffled in the set up they now find themselves in. He has nothing to loose as far as i can see, i believe he wont be around after this tournament regardless of how things end up. So he might as well go out with a bang, and you just never know, the good players in the England team just might show up and actually do something good like we all know they can do.

Southgate picks the same boring players and tactics in friendlies, so we can never know if certain players aren't good enough. His favourites are guaranteed to start despite poor performances.

The team was boring and predictable in the pre tournament friendlies.

The positional map of the team in the ten minutes after going ahead shows all the team camped on the edge of the 18 yard box.

Most top players in Europe are used to chasing down the opposition and going on the front foot. It’s drilled into them. Southgate said they were not told to sit back. Puzzling that the players are doing the exact opposite to what they’re used to.

IMO Southgate should had made way after the last Euros. He bottled it big time and hid behind all the s**t storm of the missed penalties.

I think if Southgate had Messi and Ronaldo available as English players , or someone equivalent....he would make them look average players , not all time greats , he wouldn't use their abilities, he wouldn't play to their strengths....it's all about team and defending a goal lead , he hasn't a clue .....he must be the most clueless , inept manager England have ever had considering the talent available .
