I realise that this time of the year people are on holiday.

We're going away in the mountains for a few days this week for a bit of relief from the ongoing heatwave 38c here today and feels much hotter when you venture outside.

Felt a little uninspiring both in terms of a 4 way winner which is ridiculous imo, no point doing it in that case and the fact we had to double up on nominations which did affect voting. It'll get worse once into this century..

Tbh I'm usually that busy that I've gotta skim through albums that I don't know and that's not really giving them a chance.

Maybe we could do singles again, or something like that?

It's disappointing that we have lots of forum members who participate in football debates, but aren't bothered with any interaction about music.

No problem... and thanks. 64 has also done a great job along the way. Skimming is often enough to be fair. No one has the time to do "justice" to an album that doesn't take hold immediately. I usually know within 5/6 minutes if it's going to be an album I'd enjoy to partake of fully and life's too short to chase bad/uninteresting albums

No mate, Durly seems to have changed his username on another forum he posts on, so I have lost contact with him, James.

I haven't given up on the album polls yet, we still have nine players.

I've been a bit busy, plus we are on our holiday's now, so I haven't given the polls my full attention over the last week or so.

What about combining an album & single poll where you still pick your album but nominate your favourite track from it as well and vote separately ? How many good albums have 1/2 outstanding tracks on them but get no votes as the rest are terrible ?
Maybe need a reminder put up that this is open to everyone as some posters may think this is a closed group, must be plenty of people reading this thread who have never posted on the forum & have an interest in music, an easy way in to get started posting.
