I really thought Lewis Bate would have made it...
I think Lewis Bate would make it in a division lower, DF dosen't seem to like a few of them trying to break through like, Bate, Gelhardt, Cresswell.
As you know, a lot of the kids don't make the grade at most clubs.

As I say I don't understand the Cairns move at all ...
I do. If I’m a young keeper I want to be playing as often as I can, wherever that is, and not being second fiddle to someone who’s not much older than me.

If I’m in my 30s and playing in for a team whose ground is a tin shed on the wrong side of the Pennines, I’m more than happy to earn a decent crust picking the splinters out of my *rse fat a club like Leeds.

Football isn’t always about football, sometimes it’s about what people want.

Oh I get it from his perspective, don't get it from ours and I'm not connecting it to Klaesson leaving, he's too good to be our 3 I think. Not sure he even got many games for the 21's last season. Needed to move on.

If Cairns was Championship quality but not #1 quality I get why he dropped down the leagues to play. I'd imagine we've given him a substantial pay rise to not play football for us this season.

The analyst in me is wondering if this a pre-emptive move for a Meslier transfer and Darlow becoming our #1 ... with Cairns as back up

Leeds have missed out on Daniel Jebbison, who is undergoing a medical at Bournemouth.

possible, though we'd still need a 3rd. I don't know enough about our reserve keepers to fully buy in.

Think we’re ok at the moment despite losing numbers
Would have taken Rodon over Gray for next season all day long
Hope that Aaronson might prove to be a surprise package in this league
Without any bias think the big 3 linked with a move away would be better with another season with us
Understand their desire to play at a higher level but don’t think any of them would hold down a regular spot in the premiership
Maybe for a European side

Would be foolish to let Struijk leave, unless we plan on playing Amps there and have a midfield replacement lined up for him. But we'll still need some depth, so unless it was a ridiculous offer, I'd be turning it down.

Firpo most definitely improved as the season went on and again, unless we have a replacement already lined up, I'd be bursting his Olympics bubble. Harsh on the player, but we don't want to start the season with a makeshift defence. We already need a RB!

Firpo could start the season, DR likely to go out at the group stage and the final I think is before the season opener anyway should they get that far. He can always nip back for the closing ceremony if needed, it's not like it's in Asia or South America
