To come out of this with just Tanaka would be very underwhelming :lol:

If we can retain Gnonto, it’s not the end of the world, given how well he can play the 10. Frankly, I’ve been wondering how we’d be able to keep all of these personalities happy if we get all of these players…. Still rate Sallai. Looks like a real gem. Fingers crossed. Hope we get some additional cover at fullback and another RCB.

Keen to see how this ultimately shakes out. 2.5 more days…

Not hoping whatsoever, Dan. I did say could.

I'm full of admiration for Dan James & I was one of a few who was prepared to give Aaronson another chance, and the young man hasn't let us down. Brenden has played a big part in gathering four of our five points.

Good post

Still need a left back and I'm ok if that relegates Firpo as he's not signing a new contract anytime soon. Also need a centre mid, Gruev has done a good job filling in but lacks creativity and ball carrying abilities

Ramazani is the Summerville replacement imo, inverted left winger with the same sort of skill set. Not sure about Solomon, doubt he's close to match fit and he has the same knee issues as Paddy. Guessing he plays central when he does finally start for us bit would expect a period off the bench for a month or so.

We are led to believe the missing parts of the jigsaw are on their way.

Soloman is a classed as a winger/attacking midfielder, he definitely played as a left-winger whilst on loan at Fulham.

At 10M I hope Ramazani nails down that position... Seems like all wingers are being passed off as AMF's these days, bit like all CB's can play WB...but they seldom can...

Sounds like personal terms have been agreed with Hamer, with blunts wanting 18M. Is anyone else seeing/hearing that?

Also, Tanaka supposedly flying in to Leeds??

Not sure Hamer is worth that and as fans we shouldn't really care whether is he is or not. However expensive mistakes have to be paid for later so if we have a limit and aren't prepared to go above it then so be it.

I'd guess at somewhere around £15M is our top number.

We offered 15M and was declined. However now that the player has indicated he wants to come to Elland Rd, maybe a middle ground will be found. Seems to me, we are clawing the leverage away from Sheffield, but we'll see.

Oh ok thought it £13M we'd offered.

We've replaced Summerville, Anthony and Kamara.

Not replaced Gray or Georgie yet.

Assuming

Ramazani = Summerville
Solomon = Anthony
Rothwell = Kamara ?

Ramazani could replace Cry, likely to get more assists than goals I suspect
Solomon massive upgrade on Anthony IF he can get and stay fit
Rothwell not in Kamara's class for me.

also haven't replaced Cresswell yet... need that back up RCB.

Not sure you can look at it that directly.
The incoming players will provide different options to line-up and structure for the manager.
For me, Hamer would replace Archie. Frankly, from what I've seen of him, so would Tanaka - but in a different way.

Also, don't think you can count needing to direct replacement for Anthony - was hardly a feature last season. Yes another pair of boots needed in his place - but the squad will look very different - and lots of room for excitement to replace Georgie's. Rothwell likely a replacement for Anthony - again in a different way.

Time is running out, just two days left. I think we will struggle to get more than two players in. One has to be a full back, and i suspect the other will be Tanaka. It would be nice to see one Marquis signing in addition.

Ideally we need Hamer or the Lube guy to score some goals.

Ramazani - Summerville.

Rothwell- Kamara

Aaronson - Anthony.

Solomon is the wild card as so much potential but a huge question mark as to his fitness and ability to even stay fit.

Gray was a cm no matter where Farke played him so he needs replacing and Georgie was our starting 10 and Solomon whilst talented absolutely no guarantee he can get fit.
