Today just showed this lot are not good enough to play in the PL, and I suspect the majority of them know it.
The way things are going they are not gonna be getting the opportunity to strut their stuff in the EPL. Certainly not at LUFC.

He would have to get from the dressing room to the pitch in one piece - not going to happen

It's been obvious for many seasons now that he is crap, but they've done nothing to replace him.

We're reaping what's be sown.

No doubt people will be crying when Meslier eventually leaves
How many points has Meslier cost us, James?

A mate of mine reckons 15 points, I reckon about 10 which would be enough for us to be confident of lifting the championship title by now.

Lost for words.
I know that feeling, drove home in silence as I couldn't face listening to the radio and being told how Leeds were falling apart again. They have seven games left to save the season or it's the play-off Russian roulette allover again 🫣

Continues to make the same mistakes all the time and never improved.

We need at goalkeeper who is consistently dependable, and that ain't Meslier.

Any statistic you look at demonstrates he's mediocre. He's had way less to do at this level and still made a heap of howlers.

I've made the point in the past that great goalkeepers have won silverware for teams: Schmeichel, Shilton, Clemence, etc.

Tbh though, Meslier is just one of a number of failure points for us.
I watched the lad in goal for Swansea catch crosses and corners and make some good saves. He didn't drop the ball at our mans feet like that French Muppet. He must have cost us at least ten points with his schoolboy errors - he should have been dropped after the Sunderland match, but no, out come the excuses that the ball diverted off a divot - bollocks !!

Watch James walking round the kop end, he stops & stands onlooking through the net, then charges after Willy to celebrate.

Me and my mate, just like most in the pub, stared at our pints in utter disbelief.

It’ll be worse tomorrow, and Monday, as I reflect on the game further.

How does Mateo Joseph not control that throw-in instead of letting it deflect off his leg as the perfect through ball for Swansea. I struggle to understand what contribution he makes.

Tanaka should have been stronger in the tackle.

Rodon could have blocked the shot.

Melier's allows the shot under his body.

What a shambles!

I've Been out all afternoon for an early Mothers Day meal so missed the game and I've just finished reading all the posts.
I have to say I'm not surprised I predicted a draw and as I've said before we'll bottle it and it'll be all down hill from here unfortunately !

Unfortunately, we are playing Luton (38 miles from London), 12.30 kick-off in a tight stadium, who have won two, drawn one of their last three games, and are 2nd bottom in the table fighting for points.

What could go wrong?

And you too, Kev.

CUSSIE01 wrote: Sat Mar 29, 2025 5:32 pm If our U8’s gave away a goal like that in the 96th minute from our own throw-in I’d give them a bollocking. Bogle throws it infield instead of down the line, Joseph hasn’t a Scooby where his feet are, Tanaka tackles like a. 4 year old & Mes dives over the ball. Bloody farcical.
Yes, exactly how I saw it, Cussie.

Joseph is annoying me, he can't hold-up the ball, his touch is poor, can't win headers & his goal threat is woeful. Not great for a No.9.

Along with Meslier, he is the biggest disappointment of the season, for me. Had he scored ten goals, and our No.1 not conceded so many ridiculous goals, we'd be in the Premier League by now.

I've always rattled on about the spine of our team over the years, if we are weak in any part of the spine, we obviously struggle, two parts is a recipe for a disaster!

Those players were pathetic, Ian. Is it any wonder they felt our fans, wrath?

No frigging composure whatsoever!

And then they walk around the pitch at the final whistle with their tails between their legs.

They need to grow some bollocks.

The really worrying thing for me today is how many players form has dipped over the last five games.
The passing today was woeful along with the silly fouls we kept conceding.
I really cannot see this ending well - the next 2 games are going to be extremely difficult - Luton (Fighting relegation ) and then Boro ( play-offs ) - just can't see a win at either of these grounds .
