Gower was elegant as many left-handers are. Pity he is no more with SkySports now?White Riot wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 12:13 pm Yes AR, England had two great batsmen in Randall and Gower and both great fielders.
As I remember, Randall got ran out on his debut at Trent Bridge by the great Sir Geoffrey Boycott![]()

Much improved first half, but still only one goal in it. We really need a third early on to settle the nerves.

Piroe just can't get it on target after beautiful pass from Willy

Piroe’s movement looking good, but another wide open miss. Wow!

I'd definitely stick Bamford on for the second half

Enjoyable game and bar the top strike by their wing back we've been comfortable and playing well
Lovely ball from Gnonto at the end added to a Firpo dummy which should have bought Piroe a goal but wide

If Solomon hadn’t had such a good half, Piroe would be my motm so far.

That was a bad bad miss from Piroe right at the end. Wastefulness getting the better of us again. We are looking too comfortable which is always a worry. Two good goals spoiled by poor Firpo position for their goal - showing the Villa loanee the inside channel was pure criminal. Gnonto not in the game yet for me.

I agree. Unlucky not to get that first shot clean on goal. Decent chance there.YorkshireSquare wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 12:15 pm Keeper would have caught it anyway, he was never going to get any power on it the way it bobbled back up
