Yes, sometimes I like to give improvement extra points that’s why for today I chose Piroe and Aaronson over Gnonto, Bogle and Firpo.

Solomon (caused them to change their entire defensive posture)
Gruev (they had only five touches inside the box all game; Gruev was a major reason why)
Bogle (very good both going forward and in defense)
Aaronson (active, engaged, a real pain in their collective ass; best game in a while)
Firpo (see: Bogle, although not quite as good in defense)
Darlow (apart from the one glaring error he did a very good job)

I didn't blame Firpo for their goal, that much time, that much space favours the attacker to at least get a shot away. Firpo was like a free safety trying to cover a stud WR once the corner has blown his assignment... and an assignment got blown by someone

Outside of that Firpo defended well and how he always gets an accurate or dangerous pass away is beyond me

Not saying Firpo didn't play well defensively (still rated him after all), just thought Bogle was a little better on that end of the pitch.

He is often guilty of ball watching. Allowing his opposite number so much room to advance into the box made it difficult for him defensively to consider making a challenge. Good finish mind.

Usual rash decision making by Aaronson. He was never going to get enough power on the header. But had plenty of time to let it drop and welly it.
