Re: Who is the best manager in the championship?
Back in November my vote went to Wilder and if Sheff Utd win their final game they'll end the season on 92 points (94 actually accrued). Most seasons of course that would earn automatic promotion but not this as there has been two outstanding mangers better than Chris Wilder and in my opinion Farke and Parker will now shoot it out for the best manager accolade. Of course others my think differently.
What about the guys at the bottom, maybe someone down there is working miracles and is not getting the recognition they deserve ?

It’s interesting looking at the poll now Jammy, Scott Parker got no votes and is guaranteed promotion while Michael Carrick got 8 votes and will be lucky to reach the playoffs with Boro. Hopefully we go on to win the league and prove those of us who voted for Farke rightJammy 07 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 11:18 am Back in November my vote went to Wilder and if Sheff Utd win their final game they'll end the season on 92 points (94 actually accrued). Liam Manning deserves a mention for getting Bristol City up to 5th after the death of his son last year, would love to see them win the playoffs.

The poll shows a negative bias towards Scott Parker and how many fans don't think objectively at times.CUSSIE01 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 11:40 am It’s interesting looking at the poll now Jammy, Scott Parker got no votes and is guaranteed promotion while Michael Carrick got 8 votes and will be lucky to reach the playoffs with Boro. Parker's record in achieving promotions from the Championship was there for all to see and he's proven again what an excellent manager he is.

Manning didn’t even get his name on the poll but there were 3 votes for “ other “ so maybe someone picked him from the start.

Aye, Parker is a top coach in the championship.
I still can't believe Carrick acquired 8 votes.

Oh you fool. Carrick has never failed as a manager in the Prem.

20/38 for Farke when we did this poll before promotion is a pretty good number
The number would be higher post promotion
May be worth running it again

May be your criteria. But that's why we have a poll.

Re: Who is the best manager in the championship?
Is a weird negativity towards Scott Parker, was even before Farke arrived.
He got 0 votes I think on the next manager poll i seem to remember.
Maybe it's because he's English? Bit dull, English bloke whereas foreign names are a bit interesting.
He had 2 promotion out of 2 and now 3 out of 3 so he has to be the best manager if success in this league is the only criteria.

Re: Who is the best manager in the championship?
I've always believed we'd win the league, because I had complete faith in Farke, his teams tend to improve as the season progresses. Attending games & playing some lovely football has been a pleasure to watch, also armed with the knowledge we are so hard to beat.
I've posted up a few times, we have a much balanced squad than last season, the brilliant signings of Bogle, Solomon & Tanaka have given us a different dimension to enhance my confidence for success this season.
So many memorable games, all down to Farke who believes the best form of defence is retaining possession & attacking the opposition for the majority of a match.

Re: Who is the best manager in the championship?
Interestingly if this poll had been run at the end of last season I reckon McKenna (Ipswich) would have been the run away leader. Of course now he is absouletly sh*t and should be sacked immediately and never allowed to manage in the prem ever again.

Re: Who is the best manager in the championship?
I'd have to say at the moment I'm favouring Parker and that's mainly because they weren't firing on all cylinders at the beginning of the season but he was patient and brought his team to the boil beautifully just at the right time. Plenty of times people thought they would be the ones to miss out on the automatics and yet now they look almost certain to finish on 100 points.
That said though if we finish on 100 points also and win the league on GD then Farke would deserve at least 50% of the award if not all of it.

Re: Who is the best manager in the championship?
McKenna won't win it next season though and that's even if Ipswich get 120 points. Having the perceived best squad in the league that anyones Grandma could manage to the title excludes him
