Very limited opportunities in the league, less than 9 full games of minutes he managed 6 goals and 2 assists.

Almost a goal or assist a game.

Think Ramazani did exceptionally well with his limited opportunities
I'm not disagreeing but why do people always think poor mans is a bad thing? it's not.. it can be a compliement. Which in this case it was.

I've never heard of "a poor man's" being used as a positive description?

By definition its usually used to describe someone as a slightly worse version of someone else.

You called Zero 7 a poor man's Massive Attack a few weeks ago. I didn't deduce from that that you liked them.

Rothwell deserves at least a B.

Aaronson 9 goals & 2 assists, probably an A minus or at least a B.

Wober scored a goal, and Guilavogui & Schmidt did their bit when coming on as subs.

My initial post should read ten signings as I forgot we'd signed Darlow & Byram in 2023.
I'd say Wober was very disappointing last season. But he was signed many moons ago under the old regime. So he doesn't count as a negative. In fact, I'd say given the history what we got from him last season was a bonus.

Guily was a very smart signing. Brought a lot to the dressing room for very little cost.

Ramazani and Schmidt could have given us more. But the plus side to them - i think most of us agree - is they both have a lot of potential and promise going forward

Rothwell did his job in a midfield quartet

Tanaka, Rodon, Bogle, Solomon were all excellent signings

Exactly... But it then depends on whom your comparing him to

Did I? That was a mistake, they're not that good .. and I once called Summerville a poor man's Raphinha, hell of a compliment. Context is often lost here isn't it?

Ah I see you have mastered Subhuman's way of making it so that the poor man's version is actually better.
