Rasmus Hojlund
Rasmus Hojlund has been made available for £30m, by the Scum, I know he's not pulled up any trees there, but then they have been s**t for a good few years but prior to going there he was really good so whats your thoughts about us taking him on and making him into the player he should be, especially if he scores the winner at their ground

I would, quality player, prem experience, settled in the country.. 30M is cheap, we should be in for him. Probably better than 50M Muniz

Yes please but unfortunately one of the clubs in Europe will be his chosen destination and not us.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't try.

We should have been trying from the first day of the transfer window.

Re: Rasmus Hojlund
I would but the wages might be a stumbling block as likely they would be higher than anyone at our club.
I do think there is a quality player there, I do wonder though if he has been infected by the toxic culture there as he has gone from a player that smiled and gave everything to someone who looks like a spoilt brat, moaning, throwing arms up, blaming team mates etc. A change of scenerey though and Farke integrating him into a much better team atmosphere might work wonders for him though.

Looks to earn around 85-100k pw at Scumchester. That should be in our budget and how many european team can afford more?weasel wrote: ↑Sun Aug 03, 2025 10:09 am I would but the wages might be a stumbling block as likely they would be higher than anyone at our club.

At 22yo it's the type of player that could just work for Farke and for him to work with, he would also have a point to prove as well.
Up to the team to tempt him here if wages aren't an issue and if they really want shut at any cost for their own psr kitty then offer £25m and throw the rest at his wages structure. All seems logical imo and tbh when i just read this on the bbc sport website it was also my immediate thought about us going for him and the ballpark £30m figure seems ideal, would be down to the team and Farke to sell him our intentions/dreams, and obviously the player buying into it.

Not just european teams. The Saudis could likely afford it too.The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Aug 03, 2025 10:17 am Looks to earn around 85-100k pw at Scumchester. That should be in our budget and how many european team can afford more?

Doesn’t seem the type of player to go to Saudi for me.
They seem to go for the really big name players, and he certainly is not one of them just yet.

Put him on the shortlist. Under Artem Dovbyk.
I would advise Dovbyk not to go to Newcastle to sit on the bench.

Based on the evidence of last season Hojlund is a bang average striker. Even at £30m why on earth would you risk the money, when firstly Leeds are entering their Premier League compaign knowing that recruiting the right players is going to make or break our season.
I expect he will come good at some point but lets some other side take the gamble

Re: Rasmus Hojlund
No No No No No, a good striker should score goals no matter who he plays for, Hojlund had 4 goals & no assists in 32 games last season and we’re looking at him because he might be £30 million

Compare that to -
Cunha / Wolves - 15 - Finished 16th
Larsen / Wolves - 14 - Finished 16th
Bowen / West Ham - 13 - Finished 14th
Delap / Ipswich - 12 - Finished 19th
Vardy / Leicester - 9 - Finished 18th
Madison / Spurs - 9 - Finished 17th
The list is endless……………..
Settling for a s**t striker because he’s cheap and might come good is never going to work, give your heads a rattle. 🫨
We’re Leeds & we deserve better than a Scum reject who scored 14 goals & 2 assists in two seasons. Just mho though.

Well he was playing in a bang average team with low morale and getting pelters from the fans. Prior to going to Manure he had a good record. I would be ecstatic if we got him.Musicman1965 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 03, 2025 12:19 pm Based on the evidence of last season Hojlund is a bang average striker. But I suspect there will be a few interested domestic parties.

Not a good idea. A big risk at that price from what I've seen of him. Lacks confidence and composure in front of goal which is not a good look for a striker.

Re: Rasmus Hojlund
He has all the attributes to be an excellent striker, including composure in front of goal. It would be a risk but if he came good it would be a big reward. I see a player that has been broken by his OT experience, the joyful look on his face has long gone. Free from that I think he is a prime candidate to rediscover himself and even Farke's biggest critics must surely be impressed by how Farke has restored confidence in players and given them the stage to shine.

We have a proven goal scorer i ain't fussed ,i would prefer a old journey man type or young up and coming prospect. Keep the money for a creative attacker .

If we were offering a counselling service then maybe. See the post by Cussie above which says it all really.weasel wrote: ↑Sun Aug 03, 2025 12:49 pm He has all the attributes to be an excellent striker, including composure in front of goal. Football is about opinions.
I don't agree with most of you.
Really bad player for me and i if he is worth 30m, Piroe worth 60.
Maybe a good runner or a boxer but not a footballer.
