Graham Smyth's report was inconclusive. We all assume he's been cut from the squad. That would seem logical having signed Okafor and Ramazani is now 5th choice winger (6th if you include Aarsonson)

It could be an injury. It could be that he's getting ready for a move elsewhere. We'll find out soon, I guess

Okafor takes Ramazani's spot

Bijol takes Amapdu's spot (on the bench)

DCL not deemed ready for the bench yet? A bit surprised. Thought he'd have him available for a possible last 5 minutes desperation throw

Seems like everyone of their players is a £50m-plus player. Even their reserve goalie was once worth £71.6 million

That's the best Arsenal line up we could hope for imo.
Had a feeling it would be Gruev - I hope he now has a stormer, and it's got me wondering why he's gone for him. I'd love to be inside the managers head - Has he got plans to still be in the game after 60mins and then throw on something different?

Worth or cost?

That's the thing about the top end of the Premier League, everyone expects you to pay £40m+ plus for a player. But look at the dross Man Utd have brought in for that amount.

He was always playing Gruev, he loves him and was the choice he made Monday.

Question I had was would he go more conservative and swap Longstaff in for Tanaka.

My thoughts on DCL exactly.

Didn't he undergo a medical? Won't even get a run out today.

Very disappointed with the way Ramazani has been buried. I still don't understand why, in a team without a lot of creativity, Farke doesn't rate him, if only as offense off the bench if we find ourselves down late in the game.

No way he was dropping Tanaka, I wanted Longstaff for Gruev, but i can't wait to see what Gruev offers or what he does if it's for defensive purposes. I'm also thinking maybe Farke doesn't think Longstaff is right yet for the teams format

Yes he did seem that choice was already made though at the presser, the first name out of his mouth when questioned was 'Gruev'

Ramazani could have been ideal to throw on late if we're losing

But it seems Farke has made his decision on wide men for the season. He's going to have Okafor, Gnonto, James, Harrison, and Aaronson. So Ramazani would only ever get an occasional cameo from the bench.

I wouldn't be surprised if we make another signing and one more of those wide men gets pushed out too

A Premier League squad with Aaronson and Harrison in it and Ramazani pushed out

And DCL not being fit is the least surprising news ever.

Be very interesting to see how we cope out of possession, it looked iffy during pre season.

Sky put up a stat earlier that Leeds have lost their last 5 away games in the premier league conceding 15 goals

Kind of forgot about that era. Different squad today and a lot more positive. But still wouldn't be surprised to see us concede 3.
