Clearly the two elements of the competition are intertwined.

Score and first Leeds scorer - if you think that Leeds won't score then it's an N/A for the scorer.

You can't go for Leeds not to score and then post a Leeds first scorer.

64's call....but to me those are the obvious rules. Like it or lump it!

Think the rules are confusing the competition with the real game.
Obviously in a real game you can't have 0-0 AND a goal scorer.
In a competition such as this you can make up your own rules and the 2 elements don't have to be intertwined .
As it is , predicting Leeds not to score is rather silly, as you're limiting the points you are playing for because you can't get a point for first goal scorer. I can't see a problem with predicting leeds not to score and FG myself, just seems fairer
No skin off my nose, but doesn't seem right to me. Not sure I'll be predicting Leeds not to score in any games though. .

As you can gather, Madron, we had a discussion on the moderator forum to establish whether a change was required. We all came to the conclusion, the competition which has now been running for almost twenty years, and made the decision if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

To be fair... I can see why you would not want to deliberately play for 25% less points than were available....

Perhaps we could get the points awarded for the goalscorers name if we predict no scorer??

If you predict no one scores you therefore cannot have a first scorer. You want your cake and eat it otherwise.

However ............... that then gives the advantage over those who nominate a scorer as they have to choose from 10 players and you then get the points every time as you have not got to choose...

Obviously you would also have to pick a FG too.
Giving points for N/A wouldn't work.
