Rodon should have made the run for their first. Gudmundsson let Saka go and Perri should have saved Saka's shot. Bogle got in Struijk's way while missing a tackle for the third. Ping pong for the fouth, no one got a clean touch on it. Stach gave the pen away for the fourth

I didn't have high hopes for James, sad to say. The 4 year contract suggests the club did and maybe didn't do much research. I expected better from Gnonto since he threw a tantrum about playing in the Championship and thought he was PL quality.

Wouldn't say it was entirely of our own making. A lot of those mistakes were forced due to Arsenal pressure. They are the better side, clearly.
That being said, we did shoot ourselves in the foot on far too many occasions. Poor display. Did either of our strikers have any touches at all? Not Piroe's fault, really. For the striker to get a touch someone on the wing or in the midfield has to get him the ball, and our wingers and midfielders were outclassed by a wide margin.

In hindsight yes, not sure what else he could've gone with, hoofball would've probably been better tbh now i've seen how good Arsenal were at home. Hopefully he's taken something from that

When Bielsa beat Man Citeh, it was through parking the bus rather than all out attack. Ironically, it was Jesse Marsch who beat Chelski and Liverpool playing to our normal game.
If we play like we did yesterday and get battered by Newcastle, I can see the stadium turning on Farke.

Arsenal clearly a better side absolutely
But we made it easy by our own choices.
How often did we go back to goalie and invite the press or go short from goalkicks.
As you say I don't really blame Piroe, we couldn't progress the ball back to front it's hard to know what else he should do.
I've got real concerns about our ability to create at this level.

We need another PL quality No.9.
There is no guarantee Calvert-Lewin will remain fit, I truly hope he does as he could make a big difference up top for us.

After Newcastle (home) we get Fulham (away) Wolves (away) Bournemouth (Home) he might resort to 4-2-3-1 for some, virtually all the teams are playing it out from the back these days in the Prem, some a lot better than others.
Still too early yet, those 4 games should give us a clearer picture.
Yes another negative from the Arsenal game was Gruev, I struggle to see what Farke does apart from 1 game last season when i saw him drop into the defence when we went forward. But that wasn't going to work v Arsenal and quite astonished he was still on the field for so long, he was one of the first i would've subbed.
In fact i felt the game was gone at h/t 2-0 so i'd have tried something completely different then.

Marsch for all his faults never lost by 5 clear goals.
The least we need to see vs Newcastle is Farke has learned something
We set up vs Newcastle as we did vs Arsenal then another battering could be on the cards.
