49ers by a country mile.
So they didn’t empty their wallets, max out the credit cards, remortgage the dog, or sell the cat to get what we wanted, yet they kept us within dfs or whatever it’s called.. Deal with it and cheer on the lads we did get.

Radz and Orta signed Raph and Bielsa so I went for them.
But it's a bit early for this imo.
If we are bottom scoring naff all in 2 or 3 months or top and heading for the title either way people's opinions may be different

They both got us promoted, though Radz/Orta were entirely reliant on one individual and 49ers had parachute payments.
But I went for the 49ers. They will leave us in a much stronger position than they bought us in.
49ers:
The club own ER
Radz/Orta:
Huge wages to average players like The Fraud and Mes
Relegation loan clauses
Got an established side relegated
Sold Raphinha on the cheap

I really rated and Rads and Orta whn they had total control, When they came most of us thought Leeds would never see the prem in our lifetimes again. They got us up in three years and did it with the best football this club had seen in almost 50 years. They gave us, for two sweet years, a player who's gone on to be top 3 in the world.
It went wrong when they had to "share" the load with the Niners....

Have gone 49ers but mainly because Radrazani was a potless chancer who got lucky. Orta by the way did a decent job given who he was working for at the time.

Re: Your preferred board/owners? Poll of the Day (4th Sept)
The idea of choosing between Andrea Radrizzani and 49ers Enterprises as entirely separate entities during Radrizzani’s tenure at Leeds United presents a false dichotomy.
A false dichotomy is a logical fallacy where only two options are presented as mutually exclusive, ignoring other possibilities or overlaps.
Framing it as “Radrizzani vs. 49ers” ignores this partnership and the spectrum of their joint influence, such as funding transfers and stadium plans.
The false dichotomy lies in suggesting fans or analysts must pick one side, when in reality, both were intertwined, shaping Leeds future.
By framing it as a binary option like good or bad, or better or worse is both polarising and divisive... good for those who have strong opinions, and guaranteed to generate some heat.

Agreed, Rads wasn't rich but I'm not sure not being rich is a cause for complaint. It kind of makes his achievments even greater. Not sure you can be that lucky over 3/4 seasons and dangerous to acknowledge you could be

Has to be Marathe/49ers for me.
They have built a solid foundation to work on.
Radz was solely reliant on the appointment of Marcelo Bielsa.

Radz/Orta didn't help Bielsa's reign when required. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Thu Sep 04, 2025 1:39 pm Agreed, Rads wasn't rich but I'm not sure not being rich is a cause for complaint. The writing was on the wall for all to see, by not building on what we already had after our first season in the Prem!

IMO, that was as much the niners and there was still PSR, we spent a lot first season back... The niners held 40 odd percent of the club, that lead to a too many cooks situation and to give an example of the niners powers back then, they nixed the Harrison deal. What else did they have control over

I honestly feel we are still suffering as a result now, our hands are most definitely still tied somewhat due to past stupid mistakes as seen in the players Rasmus, Koch, Llorente " " " " etc etc that Farke and 49ers had to pick up the fragments of and somehow wrangle a way through to where we are now, wages, contracts, players missing, Oh for goodness sake it knocks me sick

there should of been a 3rd option of neither of these which i would of voted.
Leeds need a great summer 2026 with outgoings and incoming players

Re: Your preferred board/owners? Poll of the Day (4th Sept)
Not even close. AR & VO got incredibly lucky with Bielsa, without him we'd have been midtable in the championship. THe managerial appointments under AR were incredibly poor with the one exception. The signings under Orta were for the main part poor, but every monkey with a pin will get lucky now and again. Orta's success rate was mediocre.
The 49ers inherited a mess with players able to jump ship due to the loan clauses. People underestimate the job that Farke did in making a cohesive side out of what he was given. The 49ers have made one managerial appointment so far and it was a very sensible and very successful one. Full credit to the 49ers for pushing the boat out to the maximum despite the club owing for lots of flops and having very little of value to sell. Thankfully Farke was able to get the best out of Summerville and Rutter so that we could make a bit of money.
If the 49ers hadn't have come along and AR had remained in charge then I could only see seasons of mediocrity barring him getting lucky with a managerial appointment.

I'm no fan of Radz or Orta which I've said before. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Thu Sep 04, 2025 2:19 pm IMO, that was as much the niners and there was still PSR, we spent a lot first season back... But still feel this poll is a bit premature (was obviously going to favour the newer ones).
But we just believe the "we had no control stuff".
Because they had enough control to veto transfers, be involved in player sales (KP documentary showed Marathe heavily involved in those discussions) and a decent enough relationship with Orta and Kinnear to intend on keeping both on originally (confirmed by Phil multiple times).
They've done fine so far but so had Radz and Orta at the same stage, same league, same 2 seasons for promotion and 7 of the most used Farke players were the previous owners players.
