Comedians You've Seen???

Post by Musicman1965 »

For a bit of fun, there are so many good comedians past and present that go on tour and entertain.
Your favourites please that you have seen?????

Here is mine.
1. Ken Dodd
2. Dara O Brien
3. Lee Evans.

Went to see Chubby Brown and he was terrible.

Not sure if my UK based friends will know this one. But he was a big deal here in the States.

Hate is a bit strong Swannie, but I agree, I find none of them now particularly funny.

Dave did monologues you might like Andy Huggins who is the king of one liners.

Love a good comedy night, used to go to the Comedy Store in London when I lived there, great night out and a great place for up & coming comedians but could also get slaughtered by a tough crowd if not up to it. What could be wrong with a few beers and a laugh.
Bob Mortimer is a really funny man, was brilliant in Gone Fishing with Paul Whitehouse.

I used to run the room service department at Bally's Casino (now the Horseshoe) in Las Vegas and one of my responsibilities was the dressing rooms in the showrooms, so I saw a lot of comedians.

Carlin was the best, with Chris Rock and Joan Rivers close behind.

The guy who opened for Carlin, Dennis Blair, was also very good. Joan Rivers once called him "the best comedian in his price range."

Will Durst was the best political humorist I ever saw. Brilliant. My favorite line of his from about 35 years ago: "How can anyone vote for Clinton? He's from Arkansas! People from Mississippi make fun of people from Arkansas."
