He is a good player and a starter as a DCM, or box to box midfielder, but he's not a playmaker imo.
Not clever of Farke to keep playing him with injured ribs and a broken finger. But he was playing Georginio when he had that hernia problem and lots of other examples of this.

Yeah, you're right, but when teams suss out our lack of creativity and threat they can focus their attention on Stach and Okafor and we're pretty much cooked.
Hopefully we saw glimpses of the player that BA may become. He showed a lot quality last night. I would like to see his shot that was deflected onto the bar from behind the goal. He struck it really well.
His run leading up to that chance demonstrates his ability, hopefully a sign a things to come.
He really needs to work on his body shape when trying to shield the ball with his back to an opposition player. He tends to telegraph when he is looking to lay it off and that positional transition is flawed as he is easily pushed off the ball.

It is not as simple as that tactically. Perhaps 20 years ago. All players these days at the top level are much better “all round” from a technical perspective, comparatively to days past.
You do not see much man marking these days unless the opposition have a really high calibre player. Modern tactics are all about possession and control which limits the effectiveness of such players.
If you double up on players then you have to play defensively, which generally means employing a low block. Which at this level is generally asking for trouble.
We are a big threat at the set piece now, despite not having the much heralded specialised coach, simply because the delivery is much improved. Low block tactics tend to give away set piece opportunities.
Some of our fans need a reality check. We are not in the Championsip any more, we wont dominate games like we did last season and we will struggle in plenty of games this season. Any win in the Premier League is a good win, especially when you just promoted and a small fish in a big pond.
We will have to get used to digging out wins regardless of how hard a watch it is, all that matters this season is that we stay up.
Yes, we could have had more points than we have, but at the same time we also could be in a worse position.

Ampadu made some great runs up the pitch and then goes into panic mode, Longstaff does the same.
With nobody to make us tick and no cutting edge we are not going to make the possession we do get count.
Poor recruitment and I'm sure Farke is frustrated with how poorly we did in the summer.
It's gonna be like this, fighting and scraping for every point until we get better players in, that might happen next summer but on the condition that we stay up and boot our useless recruitment team.
They were actually celebrating the fact that we almost recruited Igor Paixao, which is pathetic and embarrassing.
We are just a team whom Farke has instilled the importance of hard work & endeavour into them, the lack of quality is clearly evident.

Leeds fans were certainly punished having to unnecessarily live on the edge of their seats.
That second half was hard to watch and both teams looked poor. The migratory patterns of Marsupials in the 18th century on another channel was looking an attractive option at one point.

Well, I hope you are all correct by the end of the game with your MOTM nomination Aaronson, as after watching the first-half, Rodon is walking it by a country mile!
Lots of defending to come in the second-half, so Aaronson will have to do an incredible amount of work, apart from is maize run & shot that hit the bar, to overcome Joe.
