West Ham's five game losing streak came to an end but they had to make do with a point in an actioned packed encounter at Elland Road. The game was incredibly open considering the sheer gravity of what was at stake, with both sides taking it in turn to launch full on assaults on their opponent's goal.

Leeds struck first just before the half hour mark. Rodrigo's quick throw-in found Gnonto in the Hammers third. He turned his man, and made a beeline for the edge of the penalty area. A perfectly weighted one-two with Summerville carved the West Ham's defence completely open, allowing the plucky Italian to open his Leeds Utd account in style.

Individual errors have cost Leeds dearly this season, and this game proved no different. On the stroke of half-time, Pascal Struijk was adjudged to have clipped Jarrod Bowen in the penalty area, and after reviewing the incident, pointed to the spot. Lucas Paquetá stepped up to level the scoring going into the break.

The visitors took the lead immediately after the break. Arronson's misplaced pass (to Roca) was intercepted by Scamacca. The Italian forward, turned, and with the assistance of the post, beat Meslier at his far post. Leeds looked visibly shell-shocked, and needed to regather their composure.

Marsch decided to make some changes on the hour mark. Klich and Harrison came on, in favour of Arronson and Summerville (who was lucky to have stayed on the pitch after slicing Coufal down moments earlier). The duo made an instant impact, and the hosts were soon level.

Adams through ball found Harrison, on the edge of the 'D'. He rode Declan Rice's challenge, and released Rodrigo, who had sight on goal. He took a touch before dispatching a left foot drive, giving Fabianski no chance. Not only was that his 10th goal of the season, but it marked his 100th appearance in a Leeds shirt. Both teams had chances to grab a winner late on, but on reflection, a draw was a fair result.
