Probably one area Orta was better.

Admittedly he didn't appoint them and baffling picked Marsch over Valverde.

But he tried for Iraola and Slot

He looked at Valverde.

He looked outside of the Premier League bubble.

I am certain tye 49ers won't, they have no real football knowledge to call on in senior management and suspect they would basically just pick the most obvious they could (Rodgers probably) with no thought process behind it other than "well he did well in the Prem once"

And as a scout. I do think a lot of what went wrong in the Rads/Orta tenure is down to the interfering Niners. Orta not perfect, no one is, but he gave us Koch/Raph/Rodrigo, plus ( all of whom are better than anything we've got now,) and a top group of 21's (something we've neglected leaving us with a gap as we wait for the "in house" 18's to catch up.)


We've allowed good talent like Cresswell, Joseph, Ramazani, Gelhardt to walk away when all 4 would have meant we'd be in a much better position now as they offer something different plus in Cresswell we had a premier quality CB we didn't have to spend money on..
