As a Toon, a quick observation

Post by Spotty »

Your showing all the qualities needed to comfortably stay up. You play some lovely stuff. Gonna be really interesting both ends of the League but you guys are very hard to beat. Consistency is the operative word for everyone, right?.

You guys feeling more confident now?

I take each game as it comes but my aim was to finish between 11th and 15th. I don't agree with aiming for 17th as you put yourself into a relegation battle. Getting as many points as we can and as you say consistency will help. Confidence will have grown with the team and savouring that atmosphere will have done them the world of good. The key is not to be afraid of anyone as you won't get anything with negative thoughts plus you are beaten before even stepping out onto the pitch.

We look better with Longstaff injured .... think he was a huge waste of money. Want him back?

We are looking over our shoulders every weekend and that will be our normal for the season.

Confident - not a word you can put in the same sentence as Leeds supporters.

I’m more confident than I was 9 days ago, 4 points from City, Chelsea & Pool is better than we expected and the team have shown balls & a never say die attitude. Farke has also impressed this week so if we can keep the momentum going it could be a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
How do you rate Newcastle’s season so far Spotty ?

We have shown for much of the season we can compete with the best. All in all, it has been an excellent week for Leeds. We still need a couple of quality signings in the January window to bolster up our slender squad, even though we've only been in the bottom three once this season.

No doubt we have come through a tricky 3 games with 4 points, like you said its about consistancy and team confidence. I still think we need a few more players in January.

You reckon we'll make signings in January?

6.5 out of ten. On Saturday V Burnley our bench was really strong. Indicative of really strong squad, but........we've been brittle as toffee at back. If we played you at your gaff, we'd get beat. St James differently and I genuinely fancy us against anyone. We cant hold on to LL eads, very concerning and nearly blew it on Saturday. Wissa will make a difference. Fancy us to make top 5 with our squad going forward.

Apart from playing us, hope you guys do well. Leeds are a Premiership Club and should be perennially. You'll concur with me when I say the Toon cause me loads of mental distress, very odd for someone who is a psychiatric nurse. Think I'd know better 😆

My wife is a nurse and a very good one but she’s the world's worst patient, it must run in the profession.

It's signing quality, not bulk. One quality player you as a fan base would be pleased with id imagine.
